Marriage made in heaven. Brilliant start with an amazing track, merging brilliantly into one of the greatest, moodiest anthems ever played. And the video of the dancers is absolutely perfect because it is so right and yet so wrong at the same time, its very disconcerting and at the same time you cant stop looking its so beautiful. What a piece of artistic genius this is. Thanks for letting share it.
it's a shame the original was copyright claimed, but on the bright side, I think re-uploading it may have introduced this mashup to a whole new audience of bloodthirsty vampires!
Dang, this is some feisty mashup! Perfect choice of tracks, seamless blend-up and excellent visuals. Very clever move to go for 1960s footage, which adds a very scary, alienating dimension to the mash-up. In a way, it's sad to hear that your original mix got blocked after ten years. The people behind this have no idea how much time it actually takes to create a good mashup and its accompanying visuals. Anyway, glad to see/hear you've made it back: if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, eh? ;-)
Whoever created this, kudos. What a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant memory evoking trip you have created. What a time to have been alive when this music was being made and what a time that 40 years later it’s transcendent. This band and all those who followed, you rocked our worlds. 💀💀💀
The 60’s & 70’s were absolutely amazing for me.. When Cameron Village Underground opened, then disco clubs on every corner and dives like The Fallout Shelter, 20 years of my life I owed to dance clubs where I could dance as much as I liked, socially.. No one was ever inappropriate with me in any clubs over the years.. Those years were golden..

Thanks for the nostalgia trip. What wild free times for us when the pill came out and we buried the prejudices of the 1950s. Musicians were using sophisticated electric guitars and amplifiers for the first time in many music venues. In 1972 I took a date to a fancy restaurant and the club had live rock music with flashing lights under the dance floor. 18 was the legal drinking age and we dressed up in our mod clothes including hand made platform shoes for men (this before disco killed a lot of live music clubs). A big night out cost around $80 including the fancy meal, band's cover charge, and dozens of drinks. That was about a week's pay for me then. I don't know how to repeat a night like that again to match the joy we shared with the crowds and rock bands we danced to.
I loved that contrast between joy and extreme ecstasy that I don't know why those dances and music transmitted me saying things like I'm dead or something like that amazing how the cosmos and chaos interact like I feel dead inside but I'm crazy on the outside XD

Or reality. Happens more and more
Or is your phone spying on you???
This is the best thing up on UA-cam
If you didn't have an overwhelming compulsion to dance your a** off watching/listening to this, your frontal lobe is as dead as poor Mr Lugosi.
And all the beautiful people.....🥰
At 50- Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, and Love and Rockets- hold a big place in my heart. Excellent work here my friend. Best, *A.
Same here! Could also mix "Christian Says" by Tones on Tail in here too

Yea buddy all my faves at 60. 😂😂😂❤🎉
The shortest 12 minutes ever, It should have been continued with another 12 minutes and another 12 minutes... Maybe combined with the Cure - A Forrest for more immersion in the post punk Gothic, melancholic ocean
Make a 10 hour version and post it. A UA-cam classic

or fade into some vintage Joy Division, not the pop crap they did like "4 way🤗love triangle" The stuff they did before the original lead singer killed himself.

Gilligan's Island and Girl with the Golden Boots being chased by a vampire. Even after multiple viewings, I can't help but think...
Best. Remix. Ever.
Not since MJ's Thriller has a twelve minute music video been so compelling and rewatchable. Thanks for sharing.
I'm back listening to it again. Thai is one of the greatest mashups I have ever heard. Their music blends so perfectly together. I really, really LOVE it. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🙃☮️🖖

I keep coming back to this genius video. The dancing is perfect, and Thurston's glaze never gets old.
Gilligan rocking out!
is Thurston thinking of Ginger , Mary Ann , or Lovey ?
@@michaellorenzen8200 That my friend, is a perfect question to discuss over beer.

I feel young again, I wouldn't trade the eighties even the seventies AND nineties for nothing!!!!53 years old todayyyyyyyyy❤️❤️
I miss the 20th Century. I miss turntables and pay phones. I miss organic music. I miss FM radio.

Lame.
I love everything about this....wow. It brings me great joy....it really does.
Breaking a window downtown allows over 15 year sentence in prison with yours truly.
it's a shame the original was copyright claimed, but on the bright side, I think re-uploading it may have introduced this mashup to a whole new audience of bloodthirsty vampires!
Now be careful what you do with it. Those tricky little bloodsuckers get everywhere. Don't invite them in my child.
Toast toaster
I totally thought it was Interpol
Dang, this is some feisty mashup! Perfect choice of tracks, seamless blend-up and excellent visuals. Very clever move to go for 1960s footage, which adds a very scary, alienating dimension to the mash-up. In a way, it's sad to hear that your original mix got blocked after ten years. The people behind this have no idea how much time it actually takes to create a good mashup and its accompanying visuals. Anyway, glad to see/hear you've made it back: if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, eh? ;-)
Holy shit this genius.

I never thought I'd see go-go dancing paired with Bela Lugosi's Dead.
I happily stumbled upon this, and it's awesome. Sometimes youtube can recommend something worth 12 minutes of my time.
Whoever created this, kudos. What a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant memory evoking trip you have created. What a time to have been alive when this music was being made and what a time that 40 years later it’s transcendent. This band and all those who followed, you rocked our worlds. 💀💀💀
❤❤❤
The 60’s & 70’s were absolutely amazing for me.. When Cameron Village Underground opened, then disco clubs on every corner and dives like The Fallout Shelter, 20 years of my life I owed to dance clubs where I could dance as much as I liked, socially.. No one was ever inappropriate with me in any clubs over the years.. Those years were golden..
This goes beyond mash up to pure alchemy. Genius!
Alchemy... good choice of words. 👍
What have you done to me? I... cannot stop listening!
Cette claque!!! Délicieusement monstrueux...j'en veux encore !!!
Can’t stop watching this! Find myself singing this mindlessly…. Coolest thing I’ve heard and seen in a long time!❤️
Thanks to this mix I have been introduced to She Wants Revenge. ❤

Just discovered this thanks to nostalgia and looking up Bella Lugosi Dead.
Reminds me of the night Justin acknowledged the Bauhaus shirt I was wearing as he passed through the crowd. The poor shirt was barely holding together from use but it made it!
I was, after proving my Devotion/Dedication to Music, The Staff at Music Market (Costa Mesa CA) last one in stock, hanging on the wall, Gave me a Bela/Bauhaus Shirt,, Black Print on a white T-shirt!!,, one of the few white anything I had as a kid,,
Cheers from Orange County California,, I'm now 50, but will always be that DeathRocker kid...

Ok, this is officially the coolest thing I've ever seen

@@Paul-nr6ws ....not very.... but like you and me... must
I loved that contrast between joy and extreme ecstasy that I don't know why those dances and music transmitted me saying things like I'm dead or something like that amazing how the cosmos and chaos interact like I feel dead inside but I'm crazy on the outside XD
Because when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you.
Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.
Acting extra alive on the outside is the only way some of us feel alive, as we're almost dead on the inside.
For whomever it were that created this...masterpiece, I will light a candle and pray a novena to St. Vitus on your behalf. Thank you.🙏

I’m completely serious that I think my mom is in one of the clips toward the beginning.
If it is, it would have been in about ‘67. She met my dad the next year. Regardless, they would have both loved this. It’s really brilliant.
