Awesome your early Christmas present! I'm elated that you now have the battery installed and the EV928 is moving! Great progress and I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future! I hope you feel better soon.
Listening through headphones and the cicadas outside going nuts, I turned on noise cancelling and realised that I was also getting the same noise through your audio lol. 😂
Sorry about that. The price we pay for living in a natural paradise. I bet it's much quieter (and cooler) in Wales at the ECC workshop as the hard working lads over there build their hypercar 928.
@@inCARnationAustralia The really funny part was that I stepped outside onto the front deck just as the cicada noise in the video became apparent and thought that the increase in volume was just me. Had to pause the vid to confirm that I was getting it twice lol.
👏🏼 happy for y’all to successfully get to this point and eagerly awaiting next ep! Will the blue battery cover be done to match the eventual green (?) body paint etc?
Good question. In earlier episodes we talked about this a lot but now it's getting real I look forward to doing another accurate weigh in shortly. Original car was a bit over 1500kg. Once all petrol and related gear removed, down to 910kg. Crazy to think we lost 600kg in that diet. I want the final weight to be under 1400kg, hopefully closer to 1350kg, maybe even less. So yes, lighter than any petrol 928 every made. Weight distribution was originally 50/50 and I want to be close to that. Ideally I would prefer a slight rear bias 44F/55R but it's probably likely to be more like 55F/45 R. My big battery box weighs less than the V8 motor, even without all the other ancilliaries (headers, etc). So it looks like the car is still sitting a bit high in the front. New shocks and springs will be needed once we know the final weights, presumably less stiff than originals.
OMG Congrats, absolutly loveing this project & its great to see the progress your making. Over in the UK & would love to have the time to do a project like this
