Nah man. Bournemouth, last time I checked was dead last. Arsenal was down 0-2 before they woke up. The ref literally saved them from an wholly embarrassing tie at home versus the 20th-placed team when he continued to extend the game after a throw in. Think about it. The game is 90+6. It’s deep into the 7th minute. The ball is thrown in, ref blows whistle. Game over. Happens RVERY WEEK. But “somehow” not at Arsenal.
I was a sportswriter for 2 decades. I exposed game fixing by refs in the big 3 sports in the U.S. I was even emailed by a former Las Vegas book maker, ONE OF THE MEN WHO SET SPREADS IN THE BIGGEST CASINOS FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. We spoke on the phone a few times before he died.
I know when a ref or refs are doing all they can to influence the outcome of a game. ARS-BOU was one of those games.

This show was the vibe I needed today as a United fan. Thanks. Even though Joel was being annoying, it feels in good fun so it doesn't turn me off.
My immediate reaction after the match was that its only one game, it's just a blip, let's just move on and forget about it. I was probably just shellshocked. Having had a day to think about it, I can't forgive the players that easily. It's a day I will be hearing about for the rest of my life, one of the worst losses in Man Utd history, and it hurts. If this group puts in another performance like that there has to be serious consequences.

That's why I'm not worried at all about us going forward...we finally have a manager who got us on the right track...all most fans were hoping for is to just finish top 4 this season...we're ahead of schedule
Im a strong United fan but am not gonna like, when Joel announced the sponsor and started drinking the 7up I was cracking up. But in all honesty it was a heavy defeat, but I can accept it and move on to Betis because this team is different and the Manager is a world class manager that handles all the big situations and just like everything that was thrown at him he dealt with it. This was a result due to multiple factors, but the team has to accept it and move on and can only apologize to themselves and to the fans by winning the next game with an emphatic statement.

That was the next season 1999-2000. Schmeichel had left, Taibi was in goal. Johnsen, Brown and Blomqvist (3 seasons injured) were out. Silvestre and Fortune had just joined. Think Taibi was sacrificed and United hit 91 points that year. Don't think current lot could hit 81 this season.
SAF United however also got beat 5-0 Newcastle, 6-3 Southampton and 2-1 Chelsea in 1996-97 consecutive leage games. Still won the league with all time low 75 points. So you get seasons with multiple hammerings. Still this 7-0 hurts bad and it is worse because it is Liverpool.

The problem with Bruno, is he's too busy trying to tell everyone else what to do, he forgets to do his own job. I've seen it loads of times with him pointing for people, while he's in the centre midfield & his man runs off the back of him.
He needs a rest & has done for weeks.

100%. It was disgraceful. The only remedies for that defeat would be:
- return the favour with an 8-0 win at OT which is highly unlikely
-win the league this season which is also highly unlikely.
-Hope that liverpool finish outside the top four and hope that it leads to many years in mid table as they were before Klopp took over. Which is the only realistic remedy.
This defeat will live long in the memory and that’s the worst bit unless something like the above takes place. 💔
Iv been having this debate with friends. And most the overseas players really don’t understand how big that game is in English football. Regardless of what team is on best form this is a game you don’t give up in. It means to much to the fans. This is worse then the time we got battered by city.

Last season at Old Trafford was worse. Only difference is Liverpool stopped playing after the 5th goal when Pogba injured Keita and got the red card.

Ten Hag is my manager but he got this one wrong. Just like how he got the Brentford away and Man City away games wrong. You need to keep the team compact for EPL away games against good teams. Noone on the team played well which means the system was wrong. Ten Hag is new to EPL and he'll learn from this. United is still way ahead of schedule and Ten Hag is still my manager.
