Hard work, running on narrow and very steep downhills is an art form. It's much more than just run fitness on these races. My inexperience really showed on the techinical and downhill sections. Throwing minutes away to the quicker guys.
@@benjaminplant3734 definitely not a muddy park run. Maybe the video doesn’t capture all of the course but there were sections where you were on your hands and knees because of how steep the hills were. It’s not as brutal as some fell races for sure but was much more extreme than a park run or your club cross country league races. :)
@@simonhallgbduathlete Its far from a 'slightly muddy parkrun' I was about 90 seconds behind you here - not raced for a good while ad coming back from injury so happy to have an OK run. The video really doesn't do the race justice at all. 1400ft + over 5 mile is a decent little fell race. Well done.
@@chrisatherton9641 my cousin organised it so drive over for a run out. Great fun but you can tell who run these races a lot. They just let themselves go on the descents lol My quads were not great for a few days lol.
Well done mate.... That looks like a fun little fell race. I'll consider doing it next year if it's on again 😉👍🏻
Nice vid 🫡 That looked nails but fun too. Running down hill is an art - so I’m told cause I can’t😂. Glad there’s no body breakages!

Was good. Completely type of running to what I’m used to. The downhills were the hardest part, I didn’t go crazy with the season ahead :)
Thats not a fell race! Looks more like a slightly muddy park run.
