What a strange, forgotten conflict. WW2 Garands being wielded against SKSs while jets flew overhead bombing human waves charging down the mountains into thatched-hut villages, all the while the very real fear of tactical nuclear weapons getting used.
and dont forget veterans referring to killing chinese soldiers like killing ants
and the USMC prop powered FU-4 Corsairs
Imagine the sound of Radial Corsiairs and V- engined Mustangs flying overhead side by side with Sabres, all the while you have a garand and fieldtesting service rifles, along with the first few bits of modern technology in its primitive stages
SKSs were not used during the war. Sorry
"Push it to the limit" but your try to outrun the Coast Guard in a cigarette boat.

"We blew up a bunch of their boats, they dropped the sun on us TWICE!"
besides for the massive firebombing campaign leading up to the atom bomb ;)
Nooooo 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They didn’t surrender 🤷🏻♂️
@Eva Braun’s New Jewish Husband You are still not funny.
This is not too far from the actual history lessons they teach at Japanese schools, they are very eager to forget all the awful things they did to their neighbors and the Colonial garrisons and Western soldiers they captured.
Fun fact: The image shows Filipino soldiers in the defense of Meiluodong, where their foreign allies retreated when faced with the full force of the Chinese Spring Offensive. The official tally puts up Filipino casualties (death) to 15 and Chinese-Korean to 500, but it is said that there were up to 1000 Filipinos and 40,000 Chinese. The Filipinos repelled the attacks, and effectively halted the Chinese Spring Offensive. Yeonchon-gun is now a border city to North Korea, saving Seoul a 20 mile longer buffer zone. Now we know why the Japanese had to take out the Filipinos before the other Southeast Asians.
Thanks for the context (i know almost nothing about the korean war)
@@dodimk.8985 most people don't myself included, everytime i hear about it i learn something new though. For example Ethiopia was an active participant, i think they sent over their royal guard and they were the most well equipped unit in there military, they also performed quite well by all accounts
Plus there is a geographical reason to take out the Philippines, namely it being a very good staging point for the invasion of Indonesia and also an important point to hold for the control of the South China Sea
@@captainofmysoul1355see?, Now i learned something new
Omg so glad you know that! :D For anyone else wondering in the comments it's often referred to as the Battle of Yultong and here's the wiki page if anyone wants to read more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Yultong
General D. MacArthur: *ignores orders and tries to nuke the communists*
President Truman: "I'm about to end this man's whole career".
MacArthur was right
@@edgarbanuelos6472 He shoulda nuked them
@OrangeT1cT2c2021 no, but russia did. MacArthur bombing China to hell and wiping out hundreds of millions of people in a proxy war to stop the spread of communism would have legitimized Russia doing the same, and would have inevitably lead to nuclear exchanges shortly after, if not between the US and Russia, then almost certainly between their proxies. MacArthur was a nutjob who would have ushered in an age of atomic armageddon.
Truman made it up

@@JamesConollyLives5353 well, the only british bombers used by the RAF Bomber Command in 1939 were the Handley Page Hampden, Vickers Wellington, and Armstrong Whitworth Whitley. Any of those would work, the other 3 besides the Wellington werent available at the time of the bombing.

@@spooky_carp7761 nigga, take a look at south korea right now, tf
@@danialhalal
You fool, the Korea you see now was not the Korea 40 years ago. We had dictator after dictator. Corruption after corruption.
It took massive protests such as the 4.19 revolution, busan masan protest, 5.18 struggle, june struggle and much more to turn South Korea to a liberal democracy we see now.
HK protestors LITERALLY use South Korea protestor tactics and use South Korean anti dictatorship songs and admire Korean democracy movements in the 20th century as inspiration of how they can overcome hardship.
Im sure there were a few American people who helped but what did the American state do as a whole to overthrow our dictatorship?
@@spooky_carp7761 But was the South, even under authoritarian and corrupt governement worse than the north ?
@@cpp3221 This is an extremely loaded question that cannot be answered with a yes or no. Thinking about it, this isn't even a question, this is literally a rebuttal disguised as a question Just say "authoritarian South Korea is better than the North". Which is basically saying Nazi Germany or Fascist Italy is better than USSR because they didnt starve.
Firstly, at what time period? This is because at some time period, the North was far better off than the South. This brings the question, would you make an argument in favour of the North Korean system because the North was better than the South?
Secondly, we are in a time period where South Korea is a self achieved liberal democracy. The real question you would have to ask is: "would South Korea be better off than the North even if it remained as a dictatorship?".
Short answer is: NO, infact we would be MORE likely to be under the North if we were under a cult of personality dictatorship. The main reason why many popular underground pro-North Korean extremist groups formed in Korea WAS BECAUSE of a authoritarian dictatorship that banned basic freedoms and speech.

Some facts on the greek force that fought in Korea 👇
The greeks at the Harry outpost counter attacked the chinese with their bayonets and one American dude said he saw one Greek grab the heads of two Chinese and bash them together 🤣👌
He also said that the greeks were the only soldiers that cleaned the blood from their bayonets .The lieutenant colonel Koumanakos that commanded the Greek forces was in the trenches with his troops
The Greek pilots were nicknamed by their fellow warriors as "bloody greek pilots" because they non stop asked for fly missions both day and night.
Honor to the Greeks of Korea and every allied warrior 🙏🇬🇷 😌
