Thanks Tom! A good picture is important for an artist display skills, when we're the marketeers of our own products, we better learn to be a little bit better at it.
Thanks Yuval. It was meant as a starting point for people who have never known the basics. I may do a slightly more in-depth video if it would be if use to people. Thanks for your much valued support. Tom
The Little Garden Shed Workshop Hi Harry. Light is the answer to everything (nearly), either photographically or video wise. If you are going to keep making videos, the lights you use would be good for photography too! Cheers Tom
Christopher Fisher Thanks Chris, get the family involved and you'll manage. Get in touch if they need help. Incidentally, I loved your last video. You should be very proud of the achievement. I don't know if it was deliberate or not, but comments seem to be disabled, so treat this as my comment to you ;-) Cheers Tom
Great video Tom. Been going to create a photo station for some time, but was thinking something more elaborate, and you've shown it doesn't need to be. Maybe now I'll get it done. Thanks for sharing, Fred
Fred Graber Thanks Fred. This little system is a good start, but maybe you could make something more suitable to your needs? However if this does the job, then great. It also takes no room to store, just slide it behind something. Try not to fold your wallpaper though, I keep mine rolled up! Cheers Tom
+Steve Krumanaker Thanks Steve. It was people's photo's on Wood Chuckers that led to it. With all the time that some turners spend on their projects but then try to show them with lousy pictures. We all have to learn from somewhere ;-)
thank you so much. I put so much into making a piece as beautiful as I can but the pictures don't seem to show it. I will try this with my next project. thank you again.
As a fellow wood worker I know how much work we put in and photography never shows it in it's best light, without a little help. This is a simple, easy place to start. If you want/need to take it further there is plenty more info on the internet! Good luck and thanks for commenting! Tom
Great video Tom, thanks for sharing. It was a simple straight forward no bells & whistles video. Loved it. Thanks again for sharing.
You are most welcome Paul. Glad you found it useful!

Thanks John. You may not be able to tell in the video, but my board was 'designed' to fit between headstock and tailstock on the Nova DVR!
