I have visited this city several times now but the one thing which keeps me coming back is how the Dutch have managed to stave off the rampant urbanization we see in so many cities. I hope they can keep it this way.

The American pronunciation is hilarious! "Van go". Ridiculous! It's Fahn gockh. Also, Omsterdom, to pronounce it correctly, does not have the only diamond museum in Europe: there are many - try going to Antwerp and Brussels.

Get off your high horse, lots of us in Europe say Van Go. We're not Dutch. We also say Germany, Spain instead of Deutschland & Espana....
