Gerek Meinhardt, he is at his best an artist on the piste. He is so creative with his touches. Very, very consistent and is arguably one of the best to be produced in the American system of fencing, thanks especially to Greg Massialas on his part for doing so (that also includes Gia, Gerek's coach from Notre Dame too). In terms of personality, he's always come off as a very humble person too. Something that you don't see a lot of mostly because it is very difficult to find that balance. Gerek gives it in spades. Gerek is fucking awesome.
ahha yeah, well apparently he had a little bit of a back and hamstring injury. It must have resolved well and something must have motivated and driven him to continue

I'm so happy he didn't retire either. He's still got a long career ahead of him.
The Face of Fencing I heard it wasn’t due to injury and he got a job instead, so he couldn’t train full time or something.
ah okay, that makes sense.
Retire after Tokyo my ass
Wow he barely won that 15-14 bout.
Why stops at R8?
