I thought this was one of the most original movies in recent memory, and it was awesome seeing this great actor finally get to shine in a lead role. Mike, have you seen Prisoners? He's fantastic in that movie, plus the movie has a heavy Fincher vibe. You'd love it.
Oh Hell yeah Prisoners was great! Tough for me to watch it because I have two little girls but none the less an amazing flick.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was so different and it was scary with no jump scares! Well done for a low budget movie. Great acting also! The girl reminded of M3gan a little lol

If you haven’t yet I highly recommend two films that are very similar in tone to Late Night which are Ghostwatch & WNUF Halloween Special. Like Late Night, both movies are about a “live” television broadcast on Halloween night where by the end everything goes horribly wrong.
Definitely Ghostwatch vibes. Really cool movie. Twist is mental
I actually first saw David in the Wendy’s commercials back in the mid 2000s .. only commercials I never skipped or changed channels

Saw this movie last night in the theatre and was blown away! I think the acting was fantastic, the concept was new and original in my opinion and just overall so well done. I really have no complaints. I think it was one of the best movies of the year! Loved hearing your take, Mike. Thanks for the review! 😊

Makes a nice change we got a nationwide cinema release of this over in the U.K. when we had to wait another 6 months after the States for Pearl.
I enjoyed it. It was good. Not game changing but a fun time was had

We're spirit animals. I love early Nivkleback. Leader of Men still holds up. They were great opening for mid bands like Big Sugar who I loves and lame 54-40. Local fairs playing for 1000 people. The 90s were fun😊
Just watched this movie….. SPOILER Ahead… I thought it was really damn good. My only knock is the end, breaking from the concept a bit; the last act with the hypnotizing and in end with the hallucinations from his perspective…if what we were supposed to be watching was the final episode we would have seen none of that. The hypnosis were explained away by them replaying it back, but the final scene I think would have been scarier if we seen him just going ham. But overall this movie kicked ass and was the best horror movie I’ve seen this year.
I loved it, thought it was really original and a breath of fresh air, perfect? No but I damn well enjoyed it
Late Night’ is my top Horror flick of the year
Guy is fantastic actor- his performance made that movie great!
Man this was so different and refreshing. Acting was amazing. Great effects and cool visuals. I think they went a little too weird with the ending but that’s really the only negative. Highly recommended.

Mike, the ending was brilliant. But i cant get into it without spoilimg the fuck out of it.
Ill just say this. You know in the movie when they say film doesnt lie and they replay the tape. That is a cue to the audience. There are about a million details hidden in the film you notice on repeat viewing.
Here’s the thing. I personally didn’t need this movie to scare me. Why? Well because it treats things as plausible and real. It’s more fun than scary. I don’t think it’s trying to scare you perse. Rather create a as real as possible scenario. It did just enough craziness to make it plausible.
That's totally fair....I just felt like it was leading up to something significant like that and would have put it way over the top.

I really liked this one. Definitely more bizarre and eerie than scary but man, the tone throughout this film was on another level. Very, very rare to get that anymore in Horror. Agree with you that the ending was a little iffy but only because how could they have really topped this one off? Very difficult thing to do. I'm grateful for this film and the makers behind it. Horror fans, spend your money on this one instead of another slice of moronica from Radio Silence, the awful looking Abigail (yes, the trailer was before this film).
Oh man I couldn't agree more. It was great without an huge pop for an ending but that would have taken it into another stratosphere.

I haven’t been this pumped to see a horror movie in a long time. This is David Dastmalchian’s time! He deserves it. Disappointed to hear it doesn’t completely pull it off but I’ll just try to go in open minded.

@@WeWatchedAMovie Streaming has been such a good and bad thing. It brings obscure movies you wouldn’t go out to see to people and creates all this buzz but it also hides some gems from so many. I just hope studios and streaming services trust and back these movies they are putting out so they get the most traction they can

Mike, the wife and I were SERIOUSLY talking about seeing this movie... Ya kinda nailed the coffin shut so to speak. I saw our local news channel do a review on this movie and they had nothing but good things to say about it. Our local theater is a theater that's playing it. It's going to be a movie and some grub kinda day this coming Saturday. I was just bitching on what movie to spend my Atom cash on... Tickets acquired!

One of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a while!!! I’ll be buying the physical copy. I traveled 45 minutes to a theater that was showing it at 10:55 pm to watch it by myself and I loved every minute!! 🤣

Totally agree, I could have used a more straight up ending that wasn't so out there. Everything else seemed to really feel real.
I really like how the media is pushing that Immaculate b.s. (yawn, boring) and people are just talking about this movie. I really do find new horror uncharming. It’s all too polished. So when a creepy movie comes into town, it’s exciting.

I legit popped up your video after watching it and exact same thoughts. I wasn’t disappointed with the film. It really brought you in with an original and refreshing perspectives. I just thought it didn’t quite pull the punches I was expecting it to. Great film overall tho
