I worked with a guy that had a speech impediment that literally made him sound German or Austrian. To boot, his name was Hans Kaiser. Worked with him for almost a year before I learned he wasn't. He was a cool dude, and played into the bit. When life gives you lemons and all that.
We got stutterers in my family. Instead of it being made fun of, it's pretty much the family mood gauge. The level of mad is "How many words can you get out before it starts?" The record is 3.
Love all of the disability related audios. As someone who deals with a disability I appreciate the effort, research, and respect you put into all the videos. Please keep up the amazing work!
Love all the disability related comfort audios. I sometimes struggle to say words like, “cookie” for some reason and I don’t know why and I get self conscious sometimes. It always feels nice to hear that someone doesn’t see you as less because of something you struggle with and can’t help doing
This was incredible. I went up to one of my coworkers because I loved the way she did her hair and I thought she had an accent too. But, it was a speech impediment. I apologized because I felt so bad but she told me it was okay. Then, she told me all the accents she would say when others asked and we laughed about it together. It was great working and chatting with her and this reminded me a lot of the first time we talked. I am glad a listener requested this. To all this struggling with a speech impediment, there are people that see you and the amazing person you are!

Kat talking about how people think the listener has an accent or cant understand them. Me who has had a couple people ask me if i have an accent and who struggles with people not understanding me even though i feel like im being really clear:😶....shit do i have a speech impediment? And as a trans person with voice dysphoria not wanting to talk on the phone or even just out in public is so god damn relatable. Sometimes i just wanna be mute cause of it even if i do wanna say something, which obviously fucking sucks. Hopefully i can get voice training soon to fix/help that.
I find on curtain days I tend to slur my words together, back when I used to work in customer service I'd be asked if I was from here (Canada) and yeah I was born there.

God's honest truth that's one of my biggest fears going on a first date & I myself studder tremendously I'm trying my best work past my fear of that.
