Poor man's Sebenza, and that is a high compliment! Use good synthetic oil and work the blade back and forth and it will smooth out and be able to flip fairly easy. Good bit of grime from the factory. Perfectly fine with 3cr13 blade. Sharpens easily and is a tough steel.
Pry the lock tab with a screwdriver a little bit to relieve the tension against the blade and it will finger flip and close single handed.

why is there so much resistance on the frame lock

spend a couple dollars more and get the Gordon Drop point with 8cr13mov and the bearings. much better knife.
The one I bought was so tight I couldn't get it open. I couldn't loosen it up at all with the pivot screw. Total fail. Threw it in the garbage.
