There is also discrimination within the same tribe. What Africa needs are leaders like chairman Mao who are brutal but know what the people need. I am originally from Nigeria and I can tell you that British people exploited our so-called tribal sentiments to divide us. Our lingua Franca is basically English but it has not stopped the tribalism. I live in the UK and I know that every part of the UK speak a different dialect and sometimes a completely different language. It is the political system defined by strong leadership that either elevates or diminishes the importance of tribe. Our leaders exploit tribal sentiment s rather than fight them. A common language wouldn`t buy much.

The Chinese have many dialects throughout China and they managed to unite. The colonial excuse is getting a little old. It might get you the ear of some bleeding-heart liberal or playtime from some progressive platform but rational thinking people can see through the 🐎 shit.
