They tried that with the entire S6 family - Note5 included - I don't think it was very popular as a result. Then again, the max storage option on those was 128 GB, and they're really hard to find nowadays. Dropping the Micro SD card slot again is definitely going to rub fans the wrong way again, myself included. Between that and the loss of the headphone jack (those Galaxy Buds *NEED* to be included in the box as standard, instead of trying to copy Apple and forcing you to buy it separately...), the Note10 loses a bit of its luster for me. Besides, I just switched carriers and upgraded from my Note8 to the S10+...
I dono if I like the in sound display feature. What if my boss hears me listing to porn in the next room and she quickly walks in? I watch a lot of porn on my phone and when she walks in I quickly place my hand over the speaker so she can't hear it : D
no one will miss the micro sd extension option. Why? Because there is no reason in 2019 to have a sd slot, if you have +256GB build in storage. And this build in storage will be quick as hell so the sd will might disappointed you anyway in terms of speed. Trust me 👍
it is very useful for people who mod their phones frequently... I do so and frankly , i wouldn't mind with 64 or 128 gigs of internal storage but expansion support till 1TB or so... Want to change roms? Remove the SD card and BAM!, all ur data is safe

BUT I definitely prefer a 256 GB (or higher) build in storage. You can attach a USB-C Stick or even a USB-C SSD (like the Samsung T5) and backup your data there. This is way faster and more secure. If your phone got lost, your SD is open for everyone and the writing/reading speed is so low compared to the build in storage. Do you know what I mean?
Be patient and smart and wait few months after phone is presented and buy it ! Getting it the day it comes out is really, really bad investment considering the price drop of Samsung phones.

The somatosensory will be gesture based. Flip the camera to selfie mode by flipping the pen up, zooming in, zooming out, etc. There might be other apps as well, but I know my Samsung rep told me that's how he saw it demonstrated.
As for the headjack. They will probably invent some sort of usb head jack cable. As for the micro sd slot, doesn't matter since every time I placed a memory stick. The card would get corrupted.
I blow through 256gb of storage blazing fast. I have 3D movies that I watch with my GearVR. Each of those movies are 10gb. Storing 20 movies = 200gb plus OS software and music means low remaining storage for photos. My carrier service sucks, and is subject to many deadzones. Which makes cloud storage mute. While traveling, having my media stored on a SD card is priceless. In the past SD cards suffered from corruption. I haven't had that problem for the last 5 years. I understand that some people aren't avid media collectors. Those of us who are, would be devastated by lack of a SD card slot. People love choices, if you don't use or have a need for microSD storage.. fine. Please don't assume your needs dictates the needs of others.

Hi Saki, If they take away the SD Expansion, what does this mean for dual sim functionality? The SIM tray on the note 8 and 9 did have the option of dual sim or single sim and sd card. So no sd card no dual sim then? And yes going for the new note, properly will max it out. Nothing compares to the note series, Oneplus 7 Pro is close though..but no wireless charging and no s-pen will make the difference. At least that's my opinion..

I have a troubleshooting mind because that's what I do for a living, so the Sound in Display could pose a problem with ultrasonic sensors. Unless there is an interruption between processes, loud sounds particularly low frequency can degrade these sensors over time. Samsung may need to rule out the "what-ifs" for this before we see the same Galaxy Fold failure.
The Samsung Event/release date for the Note 10 is August 7th. BUT does that mean that we will be able to purchase the device that same day? Or when would the device be available to the public?
I can live without the headphone jack & I'm prepared to cough up the money but no sd card is a total deal breaker for me. If this comes thru I will be devastated.

That is so wrong the note 10 will not have a headphone jack....im going to leave the note 10 on the back burner..and stick with my note 9....the note 11 will be much better and probably will have the return of the headphone jack
No headphone Jack, fast charger not in the box, no snapdragon 855 plus, no important in the camera. Not worth the upgrade from Note 9. I am very disappointed. Oh it is more expensive than last year.
The 855 plus isnt that big of a difference from the 855 and besides theres the exynos which is also a really great processor so I dont think people will notice the lack of the extra overclocking snapdragon did as for the fast charger they still give you the 25 or 30 watts charger which is plenty much and I think the 40 watt charger is something to be sold separately because not everyone would need it as alot of people live the kind of lifestyle where they put their phone to charge at night during sleep where the wattage of your charger wont matter be 30 40 or 50 then as for the camera you get alot of upgrades tbh I dont see how you compare the camera setup to the note 9 and yes it will be more expensive if you haven't noticed every single brand does that it's a trend so to say

I have a Note 8 and skipped Note9. A longer battery life but no headphone jack is not the kind of thing I waited for when the real tech jump is coming in the S11. Anytime there is a much bigger advance in tech than usual, they should do it with the Note before the S. We already had the iterative with the 9. It is very frustrating.
I went back to the Note9 from the S10 plus and let me tell you, the fingerprint reader on the Note9 is SO MUCH better. What a great experience compared to the hit or miss one from the S10 plus. This is just my honest opinion. I hope the one on the Note10 is better. The one on the S10 plus was very annoying to me.
At first i was gonna wait with getting the note 10 plus till December but.. Today my phone battery dropped 40 procent with minimal use in an hour and a half 😔 so imma pre order😎. Hope they have a fun extra with the pre order.

This is cool and all but I can't get over some things that Samsung heavily marketed. Remember the genius series? They prided themselves in having a headphone jack. Now they're removing it? What the heck. Yeah "I'm living in the past" or whatever but when my wireless earbuds die, it's nice to have an alternative to use. I'd rather take a cut In battery life than have the headphone jack removed. On top of that, $1100? Us Samsung customers prided ourselves in having cheaper phones and we made fun of iPhone users for paying $1000 for a phone. Now look where we are. Yeah we are getting a lot of features but do these features really matter when other Android manufacturers have newer technology while keeping some of these old features? Just my 2 cents. I love Samsung. I switched from iPhone 2 years ago. I just don't want Samsung to be the next Apple. I switched over because of these features that Samsung no longer will have.
When the S10 was announced I decided that this time I would wait for the Note 10. However I'm worried that Samsung will ruin it. The punch hole Infiniti-O display is awkward, the lack of a headphone jack, notifications LED and memory card slot are all big missteps on a Galaxy Note. At least I hope the battery capacity/life and charging speed are amazing this time. Please include the fastest charger on the bigger version and pre-orders. I'll wait for the unveiling to decide, but I will probably and sadly just move to another brand.

Actually there was a leak of new AKG True Wireless Earbuds and Headphones. My guess is that you can choose one of them or just get the Earbuds as Preorder Bonus to make up for the lack of a Headphone Jack

Hi I'm currently on a note 8 and cant wait for the note 10. How can I avoid mirroring my screan when I went from s8 to note 8 my screen layout changed and it was layed out the same as my s8 the only real things I need to have moving over are cctv camera apps but I hate how it changes the layout how can this be avoided?
The price will roughly be the same maybe small difference due to tax and other additional charges I would say expect the prices to be in the range of 1100 usd to 1200 usd all though not sure it will go up as high as 1200 usd

Samsung will most likely give you a dongle and or USB Headset that are made from Harmon AKG. It's not a miss and a SD card Slot Meh I can live without it. That is so wrong the note 10 will not have a headphone jack....im going to leave the note 10 on the back burner..and stick with my note 9....the note 11 will be much better and probably will have the return of the headphone jack
No headphone Jack, fast charger not in the box, no snapdragon 855 plus, no important in the camera. Not worth the upgrade from Note 9. I am very disappointed. Oh it is more expensive than last year.

The 855 plus isnt that big of a difference from the 855 and besides theres the exynos which is also a really great processor so I dont think people will notice the lack of the extra overclocking snapdragon did as for the fast charger they still give you the 25 or 30 watts charger which is plenty much and I think the 40 watt charger is something to be sold separately because not everyone would need it as alot of people live the kind of lifestyle where they put their phone to charge at night during sleep where the wattage of your charger wont matter be 30 40 or 50 then as for the camera you get alot of upgrades tbh I dont see how you compare the camera setup to the note 9 and yes it will be more expensive if you haven't noticed every single brand does that it's a trend so to say

The 855 plus might drain more battery since it is simply an overclocked 855.
@@sparx2391 its about time they let go of it especially in the note series, the s pen takes up alot of space already so having a headphone Jack take up more space is just not so practical

I have a Note 8 and skipped Note9. A longer battery life but no headphone jack is not the kind of thing I waited for when the real tech jump is coming in the S11. Anytime there is a much bigger advance in tech than usual, they should do it with the Note before the S. We already had the iterative with the 9. It is very frustrating.

I went back to the Note9 from the S10 plus and let me tell you, the fingerprint reader on the Note9 is SO MUCH better. What a great experience compared to the hit or miss one from the S10 plus. This is just my honest opinion. I hope the one on the Note10 is better. The one on the S10 plus was very annoying to me.
At first i was gonna wait with getting the note 10 plus till December but.. Today my phone battery dropped 40 procent with minimal use in an hour and a half 😔 so imma pre order😎. Hope they have a fun extra with the pre order.
I would really like to get an idea of how they will sweeten the pre-orders deal: headphones, earpiece, Watch, Tab A? Otherwise, I have a Note 9 and can wait. Had the Note 8 and liked the slight changes in the 9
Okay, so here is my thought - As we see from the leaks Note 10 will not have a heart rate sensor on its back so could somatosensory operation be a heart rate sensor on S-Pen?

This is cool and all but I can't get over some things that Samsung heavily marketed. Remember the genius series? They prided themselves in having a headphone jack. Now they're removing it? What the heck. Yeah "I'm living in the past" or whatever but when my wireless earbuds die, it's nice to have an alternative to use. I'd rather take a cut In battery life than have the headphone jack removed. On top of that, $1100? Us Samsung customers prided ourselves in having cheaper phones and we made fun of iPhone users for paying $1000 for a phone. Now look where we are. Yeah we are getting a lot of features but do these features really matter when other Android manufacturers have newer technology while keeping some of these old features? Just my 2 cents. I love Samsung. I switched from iPhone 2 years ago. I just don't want Samsung to be the next Apple. I switched over because of these features that Samsung no longer will have.

When the S10 was announced I decided that this time I would wait for the Note 10. However I'm worried that Samsung will ruin it. The punch hole Infiniti-O display is awkward, the lack of a headphone jack, notifications LED and memory card slot are all big missteps on a Galaxy Note.
At least I hope the battery capacity/life and charging speed are amazing this time. Please include the fastest charger on the bigger version and pre-orders.
I'll wait for the unveiling to decide, but I will probably and sadly just move to another brand.

Actually there was a leak of new AKG True Wireless Earbuds and Headphones. My guess is that you can choose one of them or just get the Earbuds as Preorder Bonus to make up for the lack of a Headphone Jack

Samsung is messing up. I've been a loyal Note user since the Note 3. Note 4. Note 5. Note 7. Note 8. Note 9. But guess what? F*CK the Note 10. They messed up. No 3.5mm. No 90hz refresh. No major camera upgrade. And after all that, they jack the price up near $1200. No thanks. Oneplus 7 pro here I come.

Hi I'm currently on a note 8 and cant wait for the note 10. How can I avoid mirroring my screan when I went from s8 to note 8 my screen layout changed and it was layed out the same as my s8 the only real things I need to have moving over are cctv camera apps but I hate how it changes the layout how can this be avoided?

You will regret it sooner or later, and Complaining about the headphone jack, dude they got really dirt cheap headphone hookups out there for your old headsets. Samsung will most likely give you a dongle and or USB Headset that are made from Harmon AKG. It's not a miss and a SD card Slot Meh I can live without it. Also I hear the IR Blaster is coming back does the note 9 have an IR blaster nope.

No Micro SD is a deal breaker for me. It’s why I didn’t go for the note 5 or the galaxy s6. Will go ahead with the s10+. A bit disappointed Samsung!
