I think it's really cool bro that you're representing someone else even though you're trying to push your own product that is awesome
I found this area recently. Lots of fun. I’m hitting all these obstacles on my Capra. That’s impressive with no rear steer
I love the VRD carbon. I did install the stubby motor coversion kit using a HH Team Spec 540 1850Kv and really like the performance thus far. I have ordered a 54 and 52 spur to experiment with. Also, the Megalithics have become my favorite tire so far and work very well on the VRD, SCX10 Pro and Capra. I really enjoy your channel and like many of your viewers, I'm totally jealous of your crawling area!!
I appreciate your kind words. 54t spur is something I will be doing in the future
Just curious why u guys wanna gear it up? Doesn’t it come with a 56t?
@user-ho5vm9rv1e It comes with a 56 spur and a 15 tooth pinion. It has fantastic low end resolution but it feels like I need a little more "zip" now and then to hop up. I have new gears but haven't tried them yet.
@user-ho5vm9rv1e comes with 56t, recently put a 52t spur it now has better wheelspeed and the revolver now fits under the motor guard without a spacer.
You’re hitting all the fun lines in that thing. I’m impressed. Hopefully I see you out. 🤘🏻
Nice looking rig like the paint. And I love the Red Rocks. They did a great job on this kit. Good review, good lines stay safe
Thanks for answering my question from hobbydrops video yesterday I’ll be here waiting I knew as soon as this truck came out and I got it put together before Christmas I was gonna be going vrd/coyote build right away it’s literally the dream build of mine I’m super excited and can’t wait to run it 🎉
There will be a review once the designing is done. Might do a swap/review video to those who are interested
@@DesertRockCrawler I’m very interested and would be very grateful you guys are awesome and we love everything you’re doing I’m excited to be along for the adventure for sure thank you !!!!!
I just picked up the RTR and ran it on wet rocks, holy moly it slay right out of the box
I'd be VERY interested in a vrd coyote kit
I really didn't like the lacey look on the sides of these tires, but they sure do perform well for me in the PNW.
I noticed on jconcepts website they have these tires reverse from the direction you have them on (the rear). I thought they would work better that way also. I have front and back on different directions though, for no good reason lol
2 of my shocks leak bad
Nice driving.... cool spot!!!
I just started getting into RC Crawling, and this looks like a great rig. I still need to pick up a 1/10 scale rig. I am between TRX and Vanquish VS4-10. I am leaning towards Vanquish.
If you want quality and supportive aftermarket parts I'd go vanquish all day.
I went with the VS4-10 PHOENIX PORTAL RTR FALKEN EDITION. I think it will be a great one to start with., and it was in stock here in Vegas. More details on my channel in the coming months.
Yea dude, if you design some good power wagon sliders, I’d scoop em up for sure.
Great vid. Love my VRD carbon as well. Haven’t thought of dropping teeth on the spur, but I think that’s a great suggestion to get more wheel speed while not sacrificing space between the motor and mounting skid by using a larger pinion. Well done dude.
WDW recent video helped me locate your channel. Subbed up bruh! Blessings! 🙏🏻
What about a 2500kv revolver? Would that solve it?
Very nice build, it turned out nice, i did subscribe, nice place to crawl, be safe!!!!
Thank you
Have u tried the VXT2? I really thought they were awkwardly tall but I just drove my stance for the first time straight outta box no mods, and it outperformed every rig there including (3) Gmade chassis comp rigs worth on avg about $2k! I mean these guys were pissed! Soooooooo impressive I can’t wait to build the carbon kit I’ve been accumulating parts for. IDK how it can be better but I’m convinced by others that it will be! You can comp the stance with just a servo replacement and be confident
Those vxt2 tires are too soft of a compound in my opinion for our rocks.
Nice playground! Where is it?
St George Utah
I thought personally they said the overdrive was 37 if I'm not mistaken
Love the video and I know this is old now but is there a reason you and others remove the cover for the gearbox
Awesome crawler 💪😉
Could you please do a test video of this vehicle running 2.2 wheels and tires?
Nice video! Could you tell me which Holmes motor and KV are you running this rig? Does the motor works well with the Python X esc? Cheers
Any team spec 540m holmes revolver will work. This is the 1800kv. Higher kv will give you more wheelspeed. Python x pairs easily and can be tuned on the rocks via Bluetooth app.
That thing is impressive.aa
I liked your straight axle vs portal video I’d like to see you take the vrd against you straight axle rig
Even better I'll be converting the vrd into my chassis once I've got a skid designed
How is this compared to the RedCat Acsent out of the Box?
Have you compared these to the Tusks?
Let me know how long they last my buddies got a set and he's thrashing them in three or four runs..... They definitely hook up but just like the rups they wear out quickly!!!
Quick question what are the measurements from the roof to the bottom of the door please
Hey mate, cool rig. I'd love a vrd! How do you improve breakover?
I’m building VRD carbon, I have a fusion se I’m putting in it. What pinion and spur would you recommend ?
@justinluczak5611 Drive it first. See if you need more/less wheelspeed. Also, it depends on the motor kv.
Nice 👍🏾
Did you paint the body? Looks nice.
I did, thank you
@@DesertRockCrawler A job well done I'd love to see a body you patenia or weather. Also the coyote chassis have a video on its specifics?
@brettskinner5824 Yeah, I specialize in my patina style paint. Be sure to look back at my prior videos. I have tons of videos with my Coyote chassis.
I’m not noticing any real belly clearance issues
Did you mount the shock down on the link mounts or leave them mounted on the shock mounts per the instructions?
Per instructions
Do you have the skid for the vrd transmission
Working on it still. I'll announce
Did you have issues with the transfer case housing? I just built mine and the front drive shaft didnt fit on the transfer case housing. I had to sand off about .030" to get the set screw pin to fit through the drive shaft end.
No I didn't have that issue. Just the aforementioned
For the chassis spacers which one would I need for the vrd stance?
Have you measured what's currently on yours?
70mm
It’s a complete stock vrd stance sorry I’m using different accounts
Overdrive is 37% isnt it?
Yes
What tax/rx system are you using? I am in the market for a new one and looking for suggestions
Flysky gt5. I use it on all my rigs also 4ws capable.
If we all stopped eating at the same time would the fattest man win. Ima athlete
What pinion are u running
16 comes stock
