Strongs gets your foot in the door. It gives you Heb and Grk vocabulary forms. You can take the basic vocab form to to Bible Hub and it gives you greater explanation
I remember learning Strong's ... I never forgot but now I use e-Sword. It is so easy. Now I have to figure out e-Sword.

The greek word for sorcery is what really got me. With what is going on in the world today.
Yes it is! Then you see who's image in which we were really created and that's even more scary! This is why all churches today are in trouble because they are teaching incorrect scriptures by not researching the correct definitions of scripture and this is why I stopped attending church or having anything to do with organized religion! The masses are being heavily deceived through these church's and now I can see why so little people will make it!

I bought an address book with the alphabet and cut in out and pasted them in my concordance. And makes easier to find words.

Wonderful! I love using the hardcopy. Why I do not like the Olive Tree app. They added stuff to strongs that is not in the strong’s concordence hard copy. Now I will trust my hardcopy and not some sneeky app that cannot be trusted. Look up the work Trinity in hard copy not there because it was added to bible by a monk and is not in the original translations. Olive Tree added it all through their app to strongs concordence. Very wrong to mess with a mans work. Shame on Olive Tree for doing this.

My has a addenda not an appendix but it doesn’t have the word “and”
I now keep a note pad, next to me, when I'm reading the Bible. I write down interesting words, that I find, to look up their definition, after I'm done reading.
Where did Mr. Strong get the original words from?
Hi Jonathan, thank you for this instruction - very helpful. To be helpful, only because it threw me off a bit when I was listening to your video, you wrote down 5265 for journey yet you went to 5264 and read that for the definition of journey. You may want to correct that for future viewers. Not that it changes the method in any way. Easy mistake to make when you are thinking of many things at once.

What is the best Concordance App?
I've been trying to get a good concordance for the longest.
Does Strong's have a concordance for every Bible translation? What about the fact any Hebrew or Greek word may have several glosses?
I don’t understand the use for the appendix. What is it’s used for? What can I learn from it?
How do I write down this verse Deuteronomy 18:15,18,19 do I write 17 or skip it

My strongs in the index did not have the word and it went from anchor to ancient to Ancient of Days to andrew to andronicus to anem. Sucks huh??

Note: a good Hebrew lexicon (like HALOT, DCH, etc...) will break the list of definitions up by Hebrew construction, so if we take a list like we would find in Strong's for 398:
398 'akal aw-kal' a primitive root; to eat (literally or figuratively):--X at all, burn up, consume, devour(-er, up), dine, eat(-er, up), feed (with), food, X freely, X in...wise(-deed, plenty), (lay) meat, X quite.
In a good lexicon we would find these separated by construction:
qal: eat, consume
Ni.: be eaten, consumed
Pi.: devour
Pu.: be devoured
Hi.: feed
Ho.: fed
Hit.: digest
Nom: food
The problem is that people who don't read Hebrew cannot do not understand how the word אכל is formed into these different grammatical constructions by inserting prefixes, infixes, and suffixes as in my example above: תיכאל & תואכל; the change in added letters makes a very significant change to the meaning.
So dose that 1 work for all KJV Bibles?

when using the Strong concordance you want to consider the how a word is translated . for example:
Exo 16:1
And they took their journey H5265 from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their *departing out* of the land of Egypt.
Exo 17:1
And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed H5265 from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
Exo 19:2
For they were departed H5265 from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
Exo 40:36
And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward H5265 in all their journeys:
Psa 78:52
But made his own people to go forth H5265 like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
Psa 80:8
Thou hast brought H5265 a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
The KJV translates Strong's H5265 in the following manner: journey (41x), departed (30x), remove (28x), forward (18x), went (8x), go away (3x), brought (3x), set forth (2x), go forth (3x), get (1x), set aside (1x), miscellaneous (8x).
This is what the bible student wants to be concerned with when seeing how God used the word.

It would be more fruitful and simple if we learn to read Hebrew/Aramaic or Greek directly. Though Strong's Concordance is compact, genuine Hebrew or Greek lexicons have been constantly updated since James Strong's period.

You might be in the wrong dictionary you just said so that proves you're dependent on another. Interpretation
