I was curious about what level of expertise and education might be involved in this role. It sounds almost as if an ideal formulation of this role would be someone with training in nutrition, basic nursing care, home health care, and perhaps even what some people are starting to call "culinary medicine" (as in, being able to teach patients with specific health conditions how to prepare food that meets their special dietary needs, but with culinary skills at hand to convince patients that this new food can actually be palatable.) But the current role seems far more basic than this.
