The Beatrix Potter stories are so wholesome. I loved them when I was a kid, as well as the cartoon series adaptation from the '90s (which is one of the most accurate book to screen adaptations you could ever ask for. They even followed the original designs to the point that if you freeze-frame at just the right points you'll be looking at recreations of the illustrations). I can't even count the amount of times I made my Mom read me The Roly-Poly Pudding (which must have been frustrating for her because it's one of the longer stories). Also, by the way, all of the stories in that book are in the public domain except for Little Pig Robinson (and possibly the "bonus stories" at the very end as well).
What great memories from your childhood! Thank you for sharing. 💚 I remember my grandmother telling me the story of Peter Rabbit but I never read or heard any of the others. I’m really enjoying them now as an adult. That’s good news about most of them being in the public domain!
Yaaay, book asmr is my absolute favourite! You whispering about books is so so soothing and relaxing and cosy. Thank you so much❤️
