Hello my dears! 💕🤗 I hope everyone is doing well. Today’s video I shared what I ate in a day. Here in Japan, most people are slim and obese people are very rare. My current weight is now considered obese here. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the video, and please stay safe and healthy. Hello Lou, firstly you are not fat or obese by any stretch! Japanese and Chinese folk I've noticed are quite thin. Please do not talk like this if yourself. Good luck for your results I had same test as you years ago without sedation and it was awful so know how you feel. Have good week and take care ❤
Saying you are fat (which you are not!) tells me your self esteem dipped a tiny bit. It should stay at 110%! You have & continue to accomplish more than some do in a life time! 1. Moved, alone, to another country, learned their culture, language, food dishes. 2. Started your own small business 3 stayed on top of healthy routines (any medical procedure can be somewhat scary - yet you did it, again, alone!). You are truly a magnificient role model to young people (old too) across the world! Keep being you, you amaze a lot folks! Kudos to your parents that raised a strong woman who could fly her wings in this world that sometimes can be difficult!
@@carmenandreea For chinese standards ( i live in China) I am also overweight and body type "obese" I am 65 kg and 1.64 m tall ...Sometimes cant find my size and is always XL or XXL . here anything above 49 kg is "fat". not easy to live in these countries sometimes
I'm so sorry you had to go through that procedure alone. You are strong and brave. I am a 68 yr old grandma in the US. I love your channel. I wish I could have been there to hold your hand for the procedure. Stay strong ❤😊
Dear Lou, please always let the chia seeds soak long enough before adding them to your drink. Never get involved like that, it can be dangerous. I've often heard that otherwise they can collect in the stomach. A large lump can then form, which can become very painful. So please always let them soak well beforehand. Or drink a lot of water afterwards to be on the safe side. 🙂🙂
As a fat woman in Japan!!! What??? Lou, do not let beauty standards define you! You have a loving family, boyfriend and UA-cam supporters who love you at any size!
Lou, you should soak the Chía seeds for about 10-15 minutes before you add them to smoothies or oatmeal, to maximize the benefit of the seeds. It will be more beneficial to your health that way 👍
Lou C please don’t let Japans stringent standards define you. You look healthy, eat well balanced meals and are active. You are beautiful just the way you are!
Hi Lou! Yes, people in Japan are slim but you are not Japanese. I don't see you as being fat. I want to tell you that I love your vlog because when I look at you working, shopping, cooking and cleaning, then I feel like doing the same things because you motivate me to move and move and move. Thank you.
You definitely are not fat. And the world's definition for weight is so unhealthy. Mentally and physically. You eat mainly healthy food. Be proud of yourself. And I hope your test results are good.
Yes, I also agree with others who say you are not obese. Keep doing the best you can do. I am sorry you had to go thru that procedure, I pray everything turns out well.

I need to be true to myself and find a job I am passionate about. I want to find a way to live as who I really am.
You are stronger than I am. I would have rescheduled the endoscopy for a day when someone could be with me. I’d need sedation for that. Also, I love how you cook for yourself. Every video of yours reminds me that it’s okay to cook for one person. I tend to take the easy way out and get fast food or just eat an unhealthy snack.
Whoever told you you’re fat needs their head examined. This is what causes certain people to develop eating disorders. Please ignore any negative comments. 💜
I’m sorry you had to go under unpleasant procedure without any sedation - I had the throat spray plus anything else they offered! They asked if I had someone to take me home and I said yes - in reality, public transport. I think they needed to tick some boxes and weren’t that bothered, as long as the patient had signed off they had someone to get them home and be around for a while.
I’ve had endoscopy but with sedation. I’m so sorry! I can’t believe you had to do that. You are very brave!!!! It’s too bad none of us are closer to help you. Prays for good results 🙏🏻
It was bad that you have no one to go with you, my friend is having this procedure done in a few days & she asked me to take her & stay with her at night.i hope all goes well for you, take care.😊
Мы в России голубцы делаем из фарша и риса и к ним подаём сметану с чесноком и зеленью. Очень вкусно! Какой красивый чай из цветков сакуры, только мы не знаем, вкусный ли он?
Don't talk such talk about yourself. I don't know who has said such things to you but don't listen. You are a beautiful person. Never listen to idiots. ❤❤
Believe me although slightly more comfortable without sedation, the recovery is much quicker and less tiring. Bravo, for being so brave. aive had 4 endoscopes. 3 with sedation and one without. I will be without sedation going forward. it is much easier to recover from.
Don't go by anyone standards. You are not obese. Thyroid problems can make Carry waterweight. I have Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's disease. And both of these Can make you carry extra weight.. What I don't understand is why they do not give you medicine for your thyroid problems. You're beautiful And I love your videos.. You have a good week..
Hi Lou, I don't quite understand why you didn't wait to have the test until your boyfriend returned from your trip. Was this an emergency or urgent type of exam where it just couldn't wait? Going through an endoscopy without sedation must have been very difficult. I hope that your test results come back good. You don't look obese to me and you work to eat healthy and exercise. All good.
I am so sorry Lou that you didn't have anyone to be with you to help you cope better with this invasive medical procedure Would I have been in Japan I would definitely have gone with you to the hospital We definitely live in a very difficult time where everyone has to count on one's self only even when going through tough times 😢
I'm always happy to see your new videos pop up in my list. I wish I could have been there to help with your procedure as I bet a lot of us do. Good job changing the title. You are soooo NOT fat. ❤❤
there's a lot of people in USA now that have no one to take them to such a test or check in on them after it. here you can hire a caregiver 24/7. it's not cheap $40/hr but you are worth the cost if Japan has something like that. please soak your chia seeds especially on stomach that just got scope in it. try homemade bone broth instead of smoothie.
Good day Lou? It's so good to see this post today. You are a blessing to all of us. Having a thyroid illness is very challenging and you are doing wonderful in the way you manage it. You are not fat!!! You are beautiful. Stay strong ,believe in yourself.
Wishing you will have a good result with the endoscopy. Is it common to have endoscopy with your annual examination in Japan ? In the USA, you only get it when you have issue with your stomach
Hi Lou, hoping you are feeling better 😊 Keith was a Cytologist and has worked in endoscopy. He said "it's not fun"!!! My Father had a hernia in his small intestines and they removed most of his small intestines. He lived in pain and horrible digestive issues until he died at the age of 57yrs. Keep up the good work you do!! Will pray for you. We are retired and SS hasn't been to good. We also have a son we adopted from Hong Kong who has Downs and severe Autism. It is very challenging!!! We just have to live from day to day. Wishing you much happiness and Love and health too. ❤❤❤ Joan
I had to have an endoscopy a few years ago to confirm a coeliac diagnosis. I was fortunate that I had the pill cam so it was like taking a tablet. Much nicer than that awful cable.
Thank you for changing the title. You are not fat Lou C. It's such a pleasure watching your videos. You always give me good ideas on what to cook. Please be kind to yourself. ❤
Dear Lou, you are a fantastic and strong person. I know what it's like to go through difficult situations without friends and family, because my family also lives far away. But you did a great job! As you say, a gastroscopy is very unpleasant, but we humans are stronger than we sometimes think. You did it, on your own, and these things will make you stronger and stronger. I hope your results will be positive for you and I wish you good health. You have achieved a lot on your own, nobody can take that away from you. Please don't compare yourself too much with the average weight of Japanese people. Every body is different, you have a completely normal figure. In Japan it might be considered overweight, but in many other countries around the world you simply have a normal, slim stature. Wish u all the best!❤
Having been a long-time subscriber, it is important to note that you have gone through ups and downs in both your weight and health. We all do. Calling oneself 'fat' is a demonstration of self-pity, and that is not usually part of your character. Please consider focusing on the people and experiences that give you happiness and perhaps focus less on eating. Look for new friends and activities to enrich your life. You get out of life what you put into it. Get out there and have FUN! Best wishes.
It's the Japanese health system, they have yearly health checkups and I assure you that almost every foreigner living in Japan gets labelled "fat." I've seen it time and time again. It's so ridiculous. Lou isn't anywhere near being overweight but Japanese standards are so strict and unhelpful.
Lou, I'm so sorry for your medical troubles. Please know you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I understand what you mean about your weight being considered obese. I too struggle with that. I don't look it, but my medical team says otherwise. It can leave us feeling so depressed. But please don't worry about it. You are a beautiful person inside and out. And you are taking such good care of yourself. All we can do is the best we can do and we will get there!! You are doing such a wonderful job taking care of yourself. Keep it up and remember so many people love you and are here for you. Thank you for sharing your days with us. Have a beautiful blessed week.
Hello Lou! This title totally caught me in shock….you are not at all fat…contrary to that…strong, hardworking, attractive, beautiful, and kind woman! 😊. I always enjoy your cooking, relaxing music, and your life in japan!
Hi Lou, thank you for another wonderful video! Love your cooking, looks very yummy! Well you are much braver than me dear girl because I was booked to have an endoscopy two months ago and chicken out and cancelled it! I hope everything goes very well for your results. Love to you! ❤
Hi Lou, please know that you are not seen as fat. I see most people in that area as too thin. It seems they do not get enough nutrients for some reason. I like cooking. It is my hobby. I enjoy seeing the different foods you have and how you prepare them. They all look healthy to me. I hope you are well soon. Take care and have a wonderful day.
Hi Lou! Don't say like that! You know what, for many years I have been dealing with my weight, I have learned something. Not all women on the heavy side is because of food intake or something. Some women are because of certain conditions like mine, PCOS. Don't be so hard on yourself, don't call yourself fat. Best wishes!
Thank you for another video. You are beautiful in every way and I don’t think you are obese. Not sure who came up with the scale to judge that and how they came up with it but I totally disagree with them. Hope your test results all come back with good news. Have a wonderful week ❤❤
You are an inspiration to me!!! I wish and pray only the BEST things for you and your family!!! Have a wonderful time at Christmas at home in the Philippines with your family. Sending much love to you!!! 💓
Hei Lou! Im a nurse and I know its sooo ruff to make a gastroscopy without sedation! I just had one some weeks ago, but with sedation, and I could drive home with a taxi, so without a friend or family member. Wow that you make it without sedation! This is ruff! Send you love from Germany
Hello Lou C. I hope the results of your endoscopy are good. I had one some years ago and the stuff they sprayed into tho mouth tasted like banana. I had a colonoscopy two weeks ago and I got the results the next morning, a it of a shock. I hope you mention what the results are. But try and keep your chin up and stay positive. I’m praying for you.
I can't believe you went through that procedure without sedation! Ive had this done many times but I was always sedated. I cant imagine someone putting a tube down my throat being awake. What a terrible time. I had a procedure where they put a tube down my nose to my throat being awake, it was not fun! Take good care of yourself and you look beautiful ❤
Hi Lou! Great to see another video 😊. I know in some countries obesity is defined very differently than in the U.S. I don’t think you’re obese at all. You’re eating healthy balanced meals, and you do appear to do lot of walking. Wow I can’t imagine doing an endoscopy without anesthesia 😶.. Maybe the next time you need a procedure that’s easier with sedation, you can coordinate - as best you can - with your boyfriend’s schedule. I know sometimes it’s a long shot. I pray you don’t have to go through anything like that again, and also that your test results are great 🙏❤. Thanks for sharing your time with us. I’m hoping to order from your shop soon 😊❤
Don't concern yourself wiith what others say about your weight. What matters, is do you think you are fat? Would you feel better within yourself if you were slimmer. These are all decisions only you can make. Perhaps read up more about food, especially carbs and sugar. They are in ALL foods, some more than others. White rice is not good for you.. You certainly eat healthy, perhaps cut back on your portion size. Make half that smoothie. Eat less for dinner. This over time will help if you want to lose weight. If not, don't worry about it.
I have to have an endoscopy too I am so scared 😱 to do it and get the results 😢 I have to go alone too it super scary I know ut had to be done soon . Nice to see you again and hope u get energy back.😊 you are not fat 😊❤
Lou I wish I could have been there for you so you could have sedation for that procedure 😢 I am familiar with it. I am glad you did it though. Prayers for normal results 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
If you're considered obese, then I don't know what I'd be considered. I've never had an endoscopy, but I''d definitely require sedatives. My anxiety gets too high to have procedures done without sedatives. I once had a panic attack when getting a tooth pulled.
Will you be selling teas along with your other snacks? That tea looks so delicious! I love that you take care of yourself by cooking healthy food. It appears that you enjoy cooking again, think about a Cookbook!
So good to see a video from you. You are definitely not fat. I do pray your test results are good. I cannit imagine doing that procedure without sedation. Ive had it done before. You are a strong and brave young woman. Have a wonderful week. ❤
You are beautiful, not fat.everybody is different, why judge somebody for any reason.your videos are beautiful.god bless you, your family, your boyfriend and everybody around you❤

I so enjoy watching you cook and the food that you prepare. It seems so healthy compared with many of my meals. I would love to be able to shop for such fresh produce and meats at your prices. Your videos are so peaceful to watch. You are a blessing to many of us. Some of us weigh more than others and after going through cancer treatment and surgery I was thankful for the weight I was. The Lord loves you just as you are. He gave His precious life for you.

Your next video title should be; "Beautiful, hard-working Filipina living in Japan"😊
Wishing you will have a good result with the endoscopy. Is it common to have endoscopy with your annual examination in Japan ? In the USA, you only get it when you have issue with your stomach
You are a strong young woman. I admire you also hope all your dreams get fulfilled. Praying your test results are good.
You’re the best. Such a great vibe to relax and have your videos on while I’m eating. Hope you have a wonderful day!
I was surprised to see such a messy area in your products space. You are usually so tidy and organised
You didn't comment on the cherry blossom tea. Did you like the flavor?
Wow! Do you clean the kitchen every day they well?
Hi Lou, thank you for another wonderful video! Love your cooking, looks very yummy! Well you are much braver than me dear girl because I was booked to have an endoscopy two months ago and chicken out and cancelled it! I hope everything goes very well for your results. Love to you! ❤
How did the tea taste?
Thank you for your kind words. 💕
I’m going to have to make those cabbage rolls. Yum
Thank you for another video. You are beautiful in every way and I don’t think you are obese. Not sure who came up with the scale to judge that and how they came up with it but I totally disagree with them. Hope your test results all come back with good news. Have a wonderful week ❤❤
Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful week too 💕🤗
You are an inspiration to me!!!
How did you learn how to cook all these Japanese dishes ? They do look good . 😁
Comparison is the thief of joy. Live your life and don't buy into diet culture.
PS Could you provide a link for your teacup? It is beautiful. Thank you.
You are very brave! I needed to be sedated for that procedure. Prayers continue for you and your boyfriend!
I am sorry you had to go through the endoscopy alone. Praying your results will be good ❤
Don't concern yourself wiith what others say about your weight.
Hi there - another great video and praying your test results come back good! Also, you are NOT fat…the people in that country are too thin!! LOL
Your food always looks wonderful. You are a great cook!
Lou I wish I could have been there for you so you could have sedation for that procedure 😢 I am familiar with it. I am glad you did it though. Prayers for normal results 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you so much 🙏💕
Love the videos :)
You are beautiful, not fat.everybody is different, why judge somebody for any reason.your videos are beautiful.god bless you, your family, your boyfriend and everybody around you❤
Greetings from Chios, Greece. Firstly, if you consider yourself "fat", then I guess I'm a sumo wrestler 😢😢😢😢
Secondly, I truly enjoy your videos, keep it up 😊😊😊😊 I will try your recipes for sure, since I love Asian cuisine. Wishing you good results and be healthy!!!!
Lunch looks delicious.
You are a brave person. An endoscopy without sedation. That’s is painful and scarey. Hope you feel back to normal soon.
What does that tea taste like?
I so enjoy watching you cook and the food that you prepare. It seems so healthy compared with many of my meals. I would love to be able to shop for such fresh produce and meats at your prices. Your videos are so peaceful to watch. You are a blessing to many of us. Some of us weigh more than others and after going through cancer treatment and surgery I was thankful for the weight I was. The Lord loves you just as you are. He gave His precious life for you.
I truly enjoy your videos I find them very relaxing. The food you make always looks delicious!!You are a very brave and beautiful woman, I pray for good results ❤️🇨🇦
I already miss your video, happy to watch 😊 It is possible or I suggest to put another shelve on top of the burner to put your condiments so it will not accumulate too much oil & dirt during cooking😁. Oh wow! Great news you will come home in our country. Yes, watching from Phils. Where are you from here? Hope I can meet you 😍
You are very brave and strong to endure the endoscopy.
Very happy you get to go home for Christmas. I hope your boyfriend will be able to join you
