Honestly I think a lot of these can just be applied to your general life. Incorporating them with engineering makes them really beneficial though. nice vid
As a Welding Engineer that's also part of a QA/QC team I can definitely say that these rules all apply but are not limited to Engineering, just take a look at project leaders and sales departments that rarely go to see the product and jump to conclusions. A lot could be avoided by following these simple set of rules. Will be looking up this essay, definitely worth a part 2!
