I'm not sure why. When I use a scythe and a spear, as long as I use special skills, there is a chance that half of my health will be suddenly deducted. Even after the scythe's demon mode lasts for a period of time, I will suddenly die suddenly.

Im not sure about the scythe but using the spear skill cost 30% HP
