This weeks video comes from Walney Island near Barrow-in-Furness. A short video of Rip currents. The prominent visual characteristics of Rip currents, speed, length etc. How to spot them, what to do if you get caught in one.
Places to visit nearby are Piel island And Walney island lighthouse and nature reserve
Take the lovely scenic coast road from Ulverston. Moat House Farm is a lovely stop off for a lamb and mint burger or alternatively some lunch at Bosun’s Locker on Roa island before you get the little ferry over to Piel Island.
