Well, hes feeding a lot in his games...
He gets a lota kills but still feeds a lot more than he should be (jay you hear me)
I mean just pick the people doing the stupidest things and you win. Thisandthat was feeding his brains out and Cosmiceon was a floor Lucio.

I'm convinced jay thinks every player below masters has toddler-level intelligence. "Oh wow he used an ability he must be a smurf"

I think the biggest thing to look for is not the micro (Ashe hitting dynamites, coaches, or someone jiggle peaking) but macro understanding of the game. When to engage, disengage, ult economy, etc.
Any player using hero ability, Jay: this is too clean!

I think the craziest thing here is realizing that it *wasn’t* the Kiriko.
Yeah that kiriko was cracked, either in Elo hell or just doesn’t play much and is a gm in apex or something.

The first 30 seconds of gameplay, I could tell the GM for Blue Side just by the position and how they played it. They gave SO MUCH space to set up - no gold/plat would ever play that safely.

Video idea:
You have 1 player of each rank on both teams (GM, masters, diamond, plat, gold) on each team, they have to play properly, and you have to guess their ranks. Maybe to make it easier, the ranks are mirrored across roles.

Ult charge building gave away the answers right at the start of the game, interestingly.
Now I know why Jay didn't acknowledge the Hanzo completely cleaning up the point. Though that Kiriko had an impeccable suzu on Rampage at least TWICE, check 9:30. Very good plays.
Some people forget that long time experienced ow players play in gold and plat. They are more or less stuck because they don’t play anymore than two or four hours every day or so, and they are okay with that because it’s still fun
Jay3 casually just glancing over himself killing 4 people and getting huge ults
The zen / lucio was too clean with his abilities: never missed out on a trans and build it quite quickly, as lucio he saved his team from the genji by speedboosting most ppl wouldnt do that
and you could tell it was the hanzo bc he was playing worse then the plats
Guessed Cosmic from the first round his first and second ults was insane, he was waiting on the sides, didn’t rush and was far away from the rein so he could lure the shatter

To be fair he barely spectated himself and when he did switch to his thisandthat pov he wasn’t doing anything or dying.
Defo the hardest one I've watched so far. The problem with this one is there were multiple players on the Blue team playing WAY above gold level, as someone who was recently playing in high gold and now in mid-high plat, no one who is a real plat plays like Taken or the Kiri on the red team, also the Kiri on the blue team was playing on diamond level. Taken imo easily could be around masters and the Kiri on the red team played almost flawlessly with GODLY aim. I was absolutely sure he was the GM smurf, ngl.

These are becoming more easy to guess the smurf lol, because at least 1 of the 2 smurfs are gonna be low-key throwing and playing the worst way they possibly can. It's almost like they are trying too hard to look like a bad player, there is no way they can be in a gold/plat lobby with that level of play lmaoo. The reason it's so hard for the chat to guess the smurf is because people think so little of gold/plat players that they just immediately ignore the worst looking player, and not think for a second that they can literally be the smurf trying to throw them off. Call me crazy but I don't know if the Gold/Plat range is perfect for smurfs trying to act as "bad players."
IMO, the zen on the enemy team was an easy guess. Thisandthat kept feeding tooooo hard. Never would've guessed it was GM
thisandthat should not even be gold, if his profile shows that, i bet his hidden mmr is around silver or bronze

You could tell it was cosmic. He was legit ground lucio the whole game yet his positioning/skill usage were insane. He tried a bit too hard by not wallriding. I doubt even gold/plat are that bad to not wallride..right ?

Knew it was Zen because his hands were never in the default position. He was always left or right clicking, reloading, or throwing an orb. Too high of an APM.

This was imo an easy guess, it was like "smurfs" had never played the character before and stood out too much
I first suspect war because people don’t switch that much in gold (mainly one trick). But my final guess for Smurf on red team is thisandthat because golds don’t throw that hard and have that bad of aim and survivability. Seems like a grandmasters deflated view of what gold is actually like where in reality it isn’t that bad lol. So I think he gave it away with trying to blend in by being that bad. I could be completely wrong tho…

My guess as of 14:23 is red team kiriko and blue team tank. They both just have midly superior positionning over the rest of the lobby imo

Was thinking, both teams have to try and hide the smurf but whatever team loses gives jay and extra chance at guessing. Making it harder on the players to hide their skills the whole game. Idk just maybe a little spice to it. More competition for the players

Guessed the Lucio within the first round. I’ve played in those ranks and Lucios don’t know how to play like that 😂 having the confidence to play from line for elms and know game sense of when to speed in the team

I think there should be also i cash prize for the smurfs if they win so that they would be more willing to win at all costs and by doing this it would get harder for them to hide the fact that they are the smurfs but still make them to commit for the victory because of the cash prize

At first I guessed ThisAndThat because I feel like even a gold Hanzo plays quickly, he’s taking a lot of time like someone pretending to be worse would do, but he played normally as Genji
Then the Kiriko crouching as she shot on the high ground is suspicious, feels like a higher rank thing to do, but what made my final choice be Kiriko is that ult cleanse. Feels like higher ranks would have that good of a reaction time
In the blue team, I guessed TakenWallet. CosmicEon was also good but he didn’t stay by corners but didn’t feed, which made me feel like he’s genuinely gold, not faking. The tank did great ults, and played corners well most of the time, and got space
I almost had ThisAndThat, I shouldn’t have changed guess. I also overlooked the Zen’s great ults, but at least I was close on both

What I've noticed about these secret smurf videos in all games is that the smurf always plays worse than the other players and the person trying to guess who the smurf is always looks at the people who are doing better and rules out the person acting like a bot. I knew the smurf was cosmiceon because he was playing like a bronze floorcio 😂

Jay was easy to guess, he thinks way too little of Gold/Plat lol, so plays like Bronze to try "fit in." I almost guessed Cosmic, but thought the Kiriko might have been slipping up and playing more to win.
He should do this type of video but instead of him guessing a person in silver should guess
I think you underestimate us gold/plat players a LOT. You constantly think we're not capable of doing certain things but I know my team mates and I are always doing. Yeah some are terrible and don't, but I do.
And yes, I always hit my dynamite when I throw it.

people really think gold players are braindead? if youre in gold youve got a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the game. Gold players are usually really good at two things, aiming, positioning or gamesense, but never all 3. If you cant aim gamesense and positioning will get you as far as plat and other combinations will too. Once you combine all 3 thats when you start to climb futher.

I'm a gold player and i could tell it was thisandthat because he hit no shots as hanzo. If you were blind and playing with your feet you would be able to hit shots with hanzo.
