Nice one Did the Notts/ Leicestershire /Derbyshire & some of the Staffordshire section over 12 walks in 2022. Hopingg to return to the CBW in 2025 with Lincolnshire my first aim.
It was a very nice hike, we were lucky with the weather too, only really started to rain once we got back into Wales. Bit disappointed that there were no proper start or finish to the route.
@carlos011 I believe St Botolph's Church in Boston is the official Start don't know about Barmouth. When I did the Derwent Valley Way( Derbyshire) there was a board marking the start but not end I contacted the people concerned with the route and now there is a board at the finish ( or start if your doing it south to north).
If you contact Mcmillian and ask for Tim Brunton who looks after the Cross Britain Way explaining the start / finish no official points. I have contacted him on a couple of occasions and he has sent me sticker waymarks to put up when I am out on walks which take in the CBW.
@ yes we started at the Church in Boston, couldn’t see anything there but we new it was the start. Once we got into Barmouth, there was a way point marker pointing into the town but we couldn’t find anything else. It would have been nice just to have a plaque on a wall to have had a photo with. Maybe there is but we couldn’t find anything.
Amazing xx
Nice start to the trilogy 👍🏼 nice to see our local brewery Cruzcampo making an appearance 😎
