This sounds a lot like my relationship with my ex fiancé.
We had an amazing relationship for 4 years and then I recently lost both my parents. Unfortunately my grief became too much for them and they started treating me really badly. The relationship got really toxic on both sides. We sat in that toxicity for about a year before I ended it and went no contact because I lost my self worth and self respect plus my ADHD was becoming unmanageable with all the stress. It’s been 5 months now and I’m finally feeling like myself again.
I have to admit it has been therapeutic hearing they regret what they did because they moved on with another woman while we were still together.
