I'm 73 and would try that one out. I'm a product junkie and have bought high-end foundations but have purchased some drugstore products that I adore. Thanks for just being honest with what you think. It's like learning a different language, Leese. These thoughts and words have been flowing through our minds and mouths for years. It's a hard habit to break.
Thank you, Cecilia! One more week! Woohoo! I always keep the gifts I purchased in my closet. I can't wait to get my closet back.😃 I also can't wait to see everyone open their gifts. Maybe that should have been written in a different order.😂
Thank you, Jennifer!! What should I do next? This is where I get stumped. OH! I have to do a lip swatch video of the new MAC Sleek Satin Lipsticks. I meant to film it after this video and as usual, I got distracted.
Julie, I love the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation. It sits so perfectly on my aging skin. I have to get it on Amazon as they don't make it anymore 😢.
@@Catfluff521 it isn't coming from L'Oréal but an independent seller. Walmart says they have it, but I can't get my shade from them as they are always "out of stock".
@@Catfluff521 I can find the Infallible line in stores everywhere, but not the "Pro-Glow" version, and no store near me carries it anymore (Denver). So I have had to resort to online.
Hi Julie, I like your spontaneity and authenticity...both sides of makeup are beautiful I think. Right now I'm favoring minimalist makeup and it's true that it's more elegant even though I really like intense makeup (smokey eye). It's my "complexion" period. Thanks for this video😃😃😍
Thank you, Audrey! I completely agree-both sides of makeup can be beautiful, and it’s all about what feels right in the moment. Right now, I’m loving the effortless, minimalist look too. There’s a brand in the U.S. called Maxine's Revenge, and they have a concealer called French Face. The owner, Leah, is all about capturing that confident, effortless vibe that French women have. There’s something so powerful about a look that’s put together yet imperfect-no perfect winged liner or sculpted everything. It’s about radiating confidence and letting your natural beauty shine. I love that you’re embracing your ‘complexion period.’ It’s perfectly elegant. 😃❤️
Hi Julie. Aww love your furr baby. I’ve been grooming my tiny toy poodle for almost a year and I gave up the other day and made an appt with a prof groomer and mind you I had already did her paws, shaved her body and her tummy as well as touching up her Pom Pom ( tail) they charged me $72.00. 😢 soo, I’m shopping for yet another high quality clipper set as my Wahls doesn’t work only after almost 8 months. Anyhoo, off the subject. Very pretty. Yesterday I purchased Lash Paradise just to try, I’ve always gone back to L’Oréal Voluminous, but wanted to try something different. My lashes are so long and was getting so thick, but now the are shedding. Grrr. Short and long lashes. I almost bought a ELF? Liquid Blush but decided to wait as I have so many blushes and prefer higher end. I love, love DOLL10 Cream Bronzer, then use Physician Formula Light butter Bronzer. The blush looks so pretty on you, I should have bought one. I had to go to CVS to find them as our Walmart doesn’t have them. So good to see you doing a GRwM. Love your style of them. Look forward to your next GRWM. 😊. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Karla! Holy cow, you groom your dog? I tried to do it during covid and I have a whole new respect for dog groomers. It's hard work. I think it would be much easier if I had the proper equipment but still, it's hard. It's so expensive to get them groomed and we have two. I found a groomer who lives close to us. She did a great job on Bailey but Shelby looks like we brought her in from a back ally. (is that how you spell ally?) OH, and let's not talk about our back pain trying to wrangle a dog. But we do what we have to do. I swore I would never own a dog that I would have to spend more money on their hair than mine. Now I have two and I haven't seen a professional hairstylist in 5 years.😂 Ok, I have the tab open for Doll 10. I wonder what the shipping is like to Canada. That's what I have to consider. Where did you hear about the brand? I'm looking forward to January. I'm not rushing through this time of year. I truly love it but when it's over I'll be ready for a rest. Do you have plans for Christmas?
Beautiful makeup when i was youg i was so skini and i did'nt like my self now that i'm older i have to take médication i gain some pound well à lot of it still dont like it but we have to accept the way we look because as we get older change apper's thanks for youre vidéo love watching it ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! So you are able to see it close up, and which foundation did you prefer? I am 65, and I haven't been wearing foundation in several years, and I have been trying Elf soft glam (can't find a good color but 23 cool is close), Covergirl true blend which is good but doesn't seem to last all day, Loreal Infallible still not the perfect color, Wet and Wild tried three shades, Maybelline Fit Me...I am not wanting a shade that yellows. So what did you end up putting on the good side of your face? 301 or the mix with 213 that dried darker? Also, what is the product you put on the inner lower rim of your eyes? I thought it looked great. I wear contacts and my eyes are not as white as they used to be. I recently got some eye drops that remove the red- Lumify. Whatever you have in the bright blue container did make blue eyes (I have) pop. I have only used powder blushes, and watching this, I want to try what you used. Liked the idea of mixing it with the foundation. I had a crazy experience at the local ULTA store that the manager kicked me out for mentioning the Bible (I am a seven + year Christian channel), and I laughed and told him to call the police. He did! I got written up with a criminal trespass warning that I can't go into his store for one year, or I will be arrested. He told the police that I had mentioned the Bible in his store. It's nuts, but signs of the end times.
Oh also, what did you use to tint your eyebrows please? I have grays in my brows, and usually use my brown hair color to color once a month, but it makes my skin red for several days. Thanks.
Holy cow! That's a crazy story. Where are you from? I have a suggestion. With all the money you've spent on drugstore foundations, you'd be better off going to a Sephora or Nordstrom's or MAC and have a professional talk to you about what foundation would be best for you and swatch it on your skin before you buy it. Most places will give you a sample to take home so you can see it in natural light and decide what's best for you before you spend your money. I used Revlon 301 on my good side. It did settle a touch in the corner of my mouth wrinkle. I wasn't a fan of that. The rest looked great. What's your skin type? If I were doing your makeup I would want to know your skin type, what you use to prep your skin for the day and what type of coverage you're looking for. All that information helps in order to find the perfect foundation for you. The links are always in the drop down box below my video. The pop of colour was by Thrive Causemetics. It's a wonderful brand with quality products and a purpose. 🤗 Here are the links for you. OH, I love Lumify by the way. So good! I’m not sensitive about comments from makeup artists about what facial issues, caused by aging, could be improved by makeup and the right application techniques. I want to know how to use makeup to camouflage, lift, or minimize my imperfections but I don’t expect miracles and am content to just look as good as I can for the age I’m at.
Sounds like you're in the right place, Carol! I completely agree with your perspective. I’m the same way now-embracing what I can do with makeup to enhance and celebrate the beauty of the age I’m at. It’s such a healthy mindset, and I hope more women, especially those who might not feel as confident yet, can reach this place too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts-it’s such an inspiration!
Great video 🥰👍Exactly.... We do say things that can hurt others, and we don't think about it because we see and hear it all the time. I going too be real I can't see the things you pointed out writh texture and more, but the side you liked better looks too have a more smooth look writh the blush, mabey it's the light 😅 but you look like a million dollars 😁👍 Big hugs from Denmark. 💝🌹🥰
Big hugs right back, Stine! You’re so right-sometimes we say things without realizing how they might affect others because we hear and see it all the time. It’s so ingrained in us. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my oldest daughter about when we used to watch America's Next Top Model. Did you ever see that show? They even had versions in other countries. I used to watch it with my three young daughters, and I remember the judges critiquing the models on their size, weight, and looks. I would comment on how beautiful the girls were, trying to balance what the judges were saying, but looking back, it didn’t matter. My daughter specifically remembers a girl they considered “plus-sized.” She wasn’t plus-sized at all, but back then, if you weren’t super skinny, you were labeled as such. The judges were so harsh to her. It makes me cringe now to think of my girls sitting there watching that with me. At the time, I watched it for the art-the makeup, the hair, the fashion, and the photography-because that was the world I loved. I saw it as an art form, but I didn’t think about the negative effect it could have on their young minds. If I could take it back, I would. When we know better, we do better. That's all we can do.🤗
@JulieMeikle HI sweetie 🥰 Yes people do say a lot of hurtful things writhout thinking about it. Yes at one point we did have that show on TV, but being a plussize woman and my doughter is the same, we kinda feel out of love writh that TV program because how they were treating the girls, it was heartbreaking too wach and at that time my doughter was struggling writh being bullying in school so she did start cutting her self and started over eating, there are nothing worse than when your children are hurting and can't help them. But she is doing good today, she did get a diagnose borderline on top of all that, but, the posetiv is then we had something too work out from. But we didn't see that show fore that long. I'm not into drama TV shows like that they don't give me enything positive, I always feel sad fore the ones they are bassing. Yes I get that the hair and makeup was interesting, there was a lot of beautiful looks and some of the makeup trends they did are stil being juesd in fashion today. So I totally understand that you were interested in that aspect of the show. 🥰 I'm kinda a only on UA-cam at the moment, tv is repeat on repeat so that is too boring. But I wach all kinds of things, news, makeup, livestyle, decluttering, new food ressapis, super cleaning and more 🥰😁👍 My parents always said too me. Treat other's the way you want others too treat you. It's a good thing to remember. Big hugs from Denmark. 🥰💝🌹
Oh Vicky, I love that you’re asking! I honestly wish I felt more organized for something like that. This first year has been such a learning curve, and I’ve definitely been flying by the seat of my pants trying to grow my channel. Your comment, though, has inspired me! Starting January 1st, I’m going to keep a running list of all the products I try, along with my thoughts and dates - that way I’ll be more prepared to pull together a 'Best of 2024' video next year. Thank you for lighting a fire under me! It’s such a great idea, and I really appreciate the nudge. Here’s to getting more organized and growing together in 2025!😍
Oh, I didn't notice that, Jay. I'll have to pay more attention to it. I find Wet & Wild foundation is like that. I had the best makeup day yesterday. I used Haus Labs foundation again. I haven't used it in a long time and I remembered why I liked it so much. What foundation have you found works well for you and smells better?

I never considered mixing foundation with the liquid blush. Genius! I own a couple of e.l.f. blushes like the one you used.
Me neither. It happened by accident but it's working. Yay! I always have an issue with my sun spots. 😃

Thank you, Jennifer!! What should I do next? This is where I get stumped. OH! I have to do a lip swatch video of the new MAC Sleek Satin Lipsticks. I meant to film it after this video and as usual, I got distracted.
@JulieMeikle I love makeup therapy and makeup education videos. I just enjoy your personality! ❤️
Julie, I love the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation. It sits so perfectly on my aging skin. I have to get it on Amazon as they don't make it anymore 😢.
What do you mean? I see it everywhere here. So strange.
@ I can't find it here.
If you’re getting it on Amazon then they’re still making it.
@@JulieMeikle I use the French Face as concealer and it is hydrating. I’m about to be 58. So happy you mentioned it.
(is that how you spell ally?)
OH, and let's not talk about our back pain trying to wrangle a dog. But we do what we have to do. I swore I would never own a dog that I would have to spend more money on their hair than mine. Now I have two and I haven't seen a professional hairstylist in 5 years.😂
Ok, I have the tab open for Doll 10.
Here are the links for you.

I going too be real I can't see the things you pointed out writh texture and more, but the side you liked better looks too have a more smooth look writh the blush, mabey it's the light 😅 but you look like a million dollars 😁👍
Big hugs from Denmark.
That's all we can do.🤗
@JulieMeikle
HI sweetie 🥰
Yes people do say a lot of hurtful things writhout thinking about it.
I'm kinda a only on UA-cam at the moment, tv is repeat on repeat so that is too boring.
But I wach all kinds of things, news, makeup, livestyle, decluttering, new food ressapis, super cleaning and more 🥰😁👍
My parents always said too me.
Treat other's the way you want others too treat you.
It's a good thing to remember.
Big hugs from Denmark.
🥰💝🌹
Hello Julie, are you planning to make best of 2024 ?! ❤❤❤❤
Here’s to getting more organized and growing together in 2025!😍
I find that the Illuminance foundation has an unpleasant scent like drying paint. Maybe mine is expired because no one else ever mentions it.
