- Gerry unboxes the awesome set of 28mm Skeleton Cavalry And Chariots from Wargames Atlantic. There is a lot more in this box than you'd expect and it is perfect for those looking to build Warhammer: The Old World armies and forces for other Fantasy wargames.

Packed with Skeletons on foot, mounted on the back of undead horses and in the back of chariots, you can make a great set of miniatures from this set and bulk out your undead army, raising from the sand. Maybe Jason & The Argonauts should fight a larger skeleton army!

I love that this set has come out - really tempted to make up a classic fantasy skeleton army because it really reminds me of the old GW plastic skeleton army set from the early 90s. Probably also the easiest army to paint up in the world….
Yes 3rd-5th edition WFB style. They offer a discount if you buy more than one box.
@@jojomerou4075 not just 3rd-5th, either. You can do an all Chariot/Cavalry army in The Old World. I can't say how good it would be, but it could be fun to play.
This video has sold me on those horses! Wasnt sure on them from the product photos as they didn't seem like a major improvement over the dire Games Workshop skeleton horses - but seeing them in bare plastic they are clearly much better detailed and finer and should paint up well.
Perfect for my converted tomb kings!
I just got this set a few days ago. Thanks for the great build tips, especially with the chariots.
Thanks Gerry!
I recently bought both skeleton boxes to create the core of an (new) old hammer style army.
Easy to work with and amazing value. I think im going to grab a second box of each soon. Only thing i did not like was floating quivers so with small strips of plasticard created straps to go over shoulders.
I bought three boxes and then bought four additional chariots. I plan on making Settra and 3 squads of 3. I love the armored riders and they will be great for skellie heavy infantry.
Dry Undead! Great Classic Fantasy box!
Great! I really was looking for a review of this set.
Great unboxing and breakdown of the box I'm almost tempted to buy one just to paint up and create an army got me thinking
Have a great build and paint job. 👍
Great review, I have just put together accept of 10 assorted cavalry and put the excellent chariot models in my spare box for another day. I used a couple of pieces from the Skeleton infantry set for variety. These are excellent minis and highly recommended.
Thanks!
Give them the Stygian shields from max mini and you’ve got some tomb kings proxies!
A nice kit !
I clicked like instantly for the beard :)
Great video, and a great kit!
Packed spry with two cavalry eh? As many cavalry as it has infantry… interesting choice
These and the other skeleton box set from Wargames Atlantic both look great. What ruleset would you suggest, if I wanted to use them against the new Victrix Hoplites? (Jason and the Argonauts style)
Check out Mortal Gods. Dragon Rampant might be a good one too.
Warlords of Ehrewon. 1 Box will give you 2 chariots and 2 3 men cavalry units, which can be enlarged if you want. Oathmark is also an option.
Need more bat wings...😉
How do they size against the older WA (Wargames Factory) Skeletons?
These new ones are quite a bit bigger and much more heavy set (big boned) - especially with such thick legs.
The wargames factory skeletons are still my favourite skeletons on the market if you want realistic looking truescale 28mm skeletons - although I would recommend a head swap to citadel skulls if you want a realistic look over the harryhausen heads, personal preference.
However I'm definitely going to experiment with reposing some to go on these horses for my converted tomb kings.
@@totallycarbon2106 Awesome, thanks for the info!
well looks good and yes a lot of fugging and covert to vampier counts with other set and bit from e un deed GW stuff we got see what can do with it may be a black coatch yes lots of fugging to nest vid
sadly no decals
Wargames Atlantic is crap!
Too fragile, too small, they are not gaming friendly
We'd disagree. Probably the most robust skeleton 28s on the market!
This is easily settled, just put them side by side against a gw one
@@xxapoloxx which GW ones? The modern ones aren't generic enough to use for this kind of fantasy stuff and the 90s ones are ugly as sin.
@@totallycarbon2106 So? im not talking about the aesthetic design, im talking about durability.
@@xxapoloxx yes but in a market these different factors appeal to different buyers. These are plenty suitable for gaming, even the fragile Warlord Games ones are fine if you transport them properly. They achieve different compromises between looks and ruggedness - and if all we cared about was durability as a gaming piece we would just play our games with solid tokens and meeples.
