Im also a vet and I just watched your video. Best thing to do Imo is wait. The Fed hasnt cut intrest rates and I just spoke to a friend of mine who sells New vehicles in Texas and although he had a great month last month, home prices and used vehicles are dropping the prices. It just depends. I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 for $1350 with 315k miles on it. I had to replace numerous parts on it to get it up and running properly and it still needs a shock on one side is missing and the windshield is busted. Didnt register it either. You seem handy enough, to fix things, so you might wanna go that route and pick up a beater and fix er up!

Wow. That Dodge RAM is going to be a worthy investment when you fix it up. I think Fort Bliss has a vehicle garage where you can use the lifts and rent tools to work on your vehicle. Working on a vehicle in street parking might not be the best spot. I live in a downtown area where garage parking is rare. I definitely would be exciting turning wrenches and seeing my progress working on a fixer upper. I live in West Texas. Comparing vehicles especially used, New Mexico seems to be cheaper. I was curious if Texas has the highest vehicle inflation rate because outside Mississippi Texas is heavily vehicle dependent. I'm going to listen to your advice and wait it out. Others including family have told me to wait it out but they all have vehicles. I've driven vehicles in the military. I'm talking conveys and I get this uneducated woman asking me if I know how to drive. 😂 That ignited my ego and warped my self esteem just slightly. I was about to head to a dealership. I may possibly buy a Toyota CHR. 2018-2022 at least in Las Cruces, New Mexico and El Paso they go from $18-22 grand with 50-75 thousand miles on them. If I wait out one more year I might have the money to buy one in full cash. One year I can save up 25 grand and buy one. The vehicle is discontinued after 2022. So I'm wondering if I will have problems getting parts in the future or if the overall price of the vehicle will slowly decline. We don't know what's in the future. I'm more confident if Trump is in office but you never know. We go to war with Iran then there is an oil embargo from the middle east and gas is $10 a gallon. But Trump definitely wants to Drill a lot of oil in the USA. Thank you for your comment and your detailed experiences helped me out to get a clearer understanding of how to approach my next vehicle purchase. Thank you Vet for 🇺🇲 being a hero for the USA.

@@jordanmetcalf9496 YT is frustrating with that. . I've left comments before in specific details that didn't have anything inappropriate. I'm a New Yorker who moved to El Paso. It's not a bad city. I've been frustrated not owning a vehicle and that lady's comment really hit hard. She is gorgeous but damn her not having a clue about vehicle inflation got to me. I even blocked her. A vehicle in El Paso is for people who can drive to bars, pubs, and restaurants. There isn't anything to do out here. Today I'm cycling to Fort Bliss. I bought a specialized series bicycle a year and a half ago for $750 and for bang for my buck that bicycle was one of the best investments. Once the Texas heat is over in (October) 😂 I probably will think differently.

@Taylormademan900 OH Damn! Yeah I used to truck drive through El paso sometimes, and it is a huge city so I understand your frustration! Don't let those comments get to you though brother! Many people have no clue how the economy works. People just live their day to day lives oblivious to what's going on around the world. So I feel you on that. My vehicle gets me around town but it isn't reliable enough to go out of town so I am pretty much stuck to a 5 mile radius. Plus I haven't had much buisness since I'm not truck driving anymore so the pockets are getting real lean these days. I can get another trucking job but I know it's bad for my health because it's too sedentary. You looks like you are in good shape still so I'm sure you can do that biking trip in October easy peasy!
