This story has a wonderful message of helping others and thinking of others' happiness not only ours and in this way we can find our own happiness. This book has very important Bible's teachings for our lives!!
This is a magical book! It helps me understand ideas that shaped the U.S. in the last century. It is so much better than a therapist, as it simply and with fun and humor, points out some problems and how they can be dealt with. I just think it's too bad that so many people prefer to play the "sad" game than the "glad game today". It seems strange that it is looked down on for people to be optimistic and to look for the silver linings these days but OK to spread discontent, fear, hatred, etc. Oh well, this IS a gem.
So many times I've had people sneer and tell me I'm a real Pollyanna and I wasn't sure what they meant. I had never read it before but now I have I'm kinda proud that I figured out the game without ever reading the book, that's something to be glad about, no?
I believe the morning sun Always gonna shine again and I believe a pot of gold Waits at every rainbow's end, oh I believe in roses kissed with dew Why shouldn't I believe the same in you? I believe in make believe Fairy tales and lucky charms and I believe in promises Spoken as you cross your heart, oh I believe in skies forever blue Why shouldn't I believe the same in you? You may say I'm a fool Feelin' the way that I do You can call me Pollyanna Say I'm crazy as a loon I believe in silver linings And that's why I believe in you I believe there'll come a day Mabe it will be tomorrow When the blue bird flies away All we have to do is follow I believe a dream can still come true Why shouldn't I believe the same in you You may say I'm a fool Feelin' the way that I do I believe in friends and laughter And the wonders love can do I believe in songs and magic And that's why I believe in you You may say I'm a fool Feelin' this way about you There's not much I can do I'm gonna be this way my life through 'Cause I still believe in miracles I swear I've seen a few And the time will surely come When you can see my point of view I believe in second chances And that's why I believe in you
I’m enjoying the story! I saw it on Disney but never knew it was a book, and now it’s an audiobook! However the mention of the company before every chapter is annoying. Can’t you just say that at the beginning and the end?
The 1961 phillm was my first introduction to this story. I however, didn't find out that this was even a book till years later. Thanks for posting this book. I can't wait to read it and see the differences in it from the movie. Will you be posting more books? Can you please post the books about Elsie Dinsmore?
My grandma wants me to read it in one day, but im a slow reader. And if i dont read this shes gonna make me pay her $10 so im here to listen to the book 😭

I remember being kept up one night by the awful events in a distopian book. How I finally got back to sleep was by listening to Pollyanna and thinking about gladness defeating sorrow.
Think of it as the only payment you’ll give these people who reads them for free. As someone who lives in a remote place with no library or bookshops and with eyes already not in good condition, this is heaven sent.
@@avariceseven9443 I personally agree. As someone who had an aunt who basically did these every day with no pay whatsoever and me who basically has horrible vision due to an accident i had 2 years ago, this is perfect and normal

Pomimo 73 lat po raz pierwszy wysłuchałem słuchowiska polskiego radia a teraz słucham tego audiobooka - niezwykła, wzruszająca książka.

I'm 58. I hv heard of this character yet never read the book. I was moved several times. Thank you
I had to read it for school but I was just too lazy, and then I found an audio version of it. Thank you so much!! You're a lifesaver

This book is so lovely. I wish everyone in the world could read this book and take it to heart. I know that won't happen. But I do wish they would.
Excellent! I've read this story as a child and I am listening to it now and I find it so fresh and... IM GLAD !
This book changed my life!
We listened to this through on our 7 hour trip to NC, and it was amazing.
I just loved this book and as adult yup I still do it's majestic
I believe the morning sun
Always gonna shine again and
I believe a pot of gold
Waits at every rainbow's end, oh
I believe in roses kissed with dew
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?
I believe in make believe
Fairy tales and lucky charms and
I believe in promises
Spoken as you cross your heart, oh
I believe in skies forever blue
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?
You may say I'm a fool
Feelin' the way that I do
You can call me Pollyanna
Say I'm crazy as a loon
I believe in silver linings
And that's why I believe in you
I believe there'll come a day
Mabe it will be tomorrow
When the blue bird flies away
All we have to do is follow
I believe a dream can still come true
Why shouldn't I believe the same in you
You may say I'm a fool
Feelin' the way that I do
I believe in friends and laughter
And the wonders love can do
I believe in songs and magic
And that's why I believe in you
You may say I'm a fool
Feelin' this way about you
There's not much I can do
I'm gonna be this way my life through
'Cause I still believe in miracles
I swear I've seen a few
And the time will surely come
When you can see my point of view
I believe in second chances
And that's why I believe in you
I really love that song
Thank you

As a person of the christian faith---this book really challenged me to find new way to be joyful.
I remember being kept up one night by the awful events in a distopian book. How I finally got back to sleep was by listening to Pollyanna and thinking about gladness defeating sorrow.
being glad and finding the bright side in the face of bad times is like punching misfortune in the face.
Still here😭 this is wayyy different from the movie, the movie didn’t have a doggo 🥺

Calf's foot jelly? 🤮
I think that's an ingredient in Jello...right?
Yea I think so to
So does she die or what
i honestly don't know the answer yet but i betcha she does. she's such a canon angel figure
if i learned anything from Thomas Foster lol
but then again i obscurely remember him saying nobody really dies in childrens literature so
A shame that at every chapter you find the need to self promote although you admit the book was in the public domain.
