There was a point in Americans society where pink shirt would have been shamed by both men and women for her comments. In war men are shot, burned, blown up, dismembered and see and do horrific things. For a woman to equate her views and turn attention from the men who pay the ultimate sacrifices for this country for her to take that attention away is a selfish and shameful act and she should think about that next time she wants to take attention away from the brave military who give us freedom everyday

When there is war in an other country men who get drafted they are the primary victim but when there is war in your country men and women are equally victims

It's not entirely favoring one side or the other in this debate , but some background on WWll Era ( quick take people weren't as young as would be later in Vietnam Era ) :
Draft Age was 21 to 45 . Yeah , top of the age range was more likely to be exempted for cululative injuries from regular life , established careers in critical industries . By no means just " young kids " . My late FIL was drafted at 27 y.o. And he was even borderline " Exempt - Eligible " , what between his farming , and contract hauling of agricultural products . But by mid war the manpower needs were bad enough to go back and draft people previously Exempted .
The average age overall of millitary members in WWll was 26 . This wasn't distributed equally between the then 3.5 Service Branches ( Air Froce not yet full seperated from Army , and Cost Guard as an entirity called up to Millitary Status for the duratiion ) .
The USMC skewed a couple years younget , and highest % of Volunteers . Enough so , to probably bumped Army up a year . And people on both ends were lying about their ages , and trying to scam induction physicals to get IN , not out .
35% of U.S. males born 1900 to 1910 served . 45 % of born 1911 to 1920 served . Plus 25% of each group worked directly in War Related employment . ( And much of that involved relocating accross the country .)

Between war related industries , and rapidly expanding government agencies , there weren't enough warm bodies to go around . Anyone vaguely able to work was actively recruited . Including females , and previously marginalized groups . ( Except for Japanese- Americans , they were in Camps ) . And wages were high .
