When migrated to America we use our skills , Go back to school open our business and buy our homes.

I am a JAMAICAN living in the US. For many years, I have always thought of black American FEMALES as loud, Volga, and lazy. But baby girl, you have shown me that there are good and bad in every culture. You are so awesome. I see none of the stereotypes in you. If I wasn't already married, I would have now opened up my mind to the possibility of being with my African American sisters. God bless you, and keep doing what y'all do. From the ATL.

And, I wonder why you thought that??? All people are not the same…. For example, I used to think foreigners were Green Card seeking liars and cheaters who look for someone to take advantage of and who only want to siphon off the American dollar to send money home to their various countries. But, I have learned to seek information for myself and not to judge a whole people group by some bad apples. The media and stereotypes often shape our views of others without real basis for truth. Knowledge is power and we operate in lots of ignorance as people of color. There are those who love that because it keeps us divided. We should let love AND truth lead in everything.
As an AA woman I find this comment to be very ignorant! I know a lot of loud, vulgar, lazy Jamaican women! If you wanted to give Tanya a compliment then do it without stereotyping because I'm sure most of us whether married or not would put up with the likes of you!! Watch your words!!
