Van Gaal knows what he is doing, Football has changed a lot in the last 25 years with new formations and different systems. In the modern game you need a ball playing CB not just a 6ft lump that can head everything clear and is strong. Blind reads the game so well, and can pick a killer pass that Phil Jones would not even see.

And as I said Van Gaal knows what he is doing putting blind at CB, did you see the ball he played to Mata for Memphis to score against Sunderland? He's not quick or strong, but he's very technical and intelligent. Just like Scholes was in our midfield, this lad has done an unbelievable job at CB partnering the BEAST Chris Smalldini.

Daley Blind has been a standout performer for the team and that back four is shaping up nicely. His ability to play at the back didn't come much of a surprise to mes seeing as he has played there for Ajax, but I really didn't think he'd be so good at it. Intelligent positioning and exceptional use of the ball are his main attributes in which he has overcome his relative slowness and humble build. He is still young, so I trust in LVG's capability to develop him into a top class CB. Too many fans are too obsessed with the fear of him being 'found out' against physical strikers but even if he does struggle, why can't that be viewed as a learning experience? He's already shown in preseason and at the start of this new season far more potential than Jones.
