- This is the last cover with the XR-1 that have been borrowing from a good friend (along with the PC Archtop) and this is a special request from him that I am more than happy to do. Like my original cover of Satellite (see that here - • Def Leppard - Satellit... ) , I had to take many liberties for the solo but I hope it gives a decent vibe. :)
I think you can hear where Steve got his live 'Foolin' intro from when he would use an acoustic on the Pyro tour. :)
I'm very lucky to be playing a borrowed Gibson XR-1 (from a good friend), into my Boss Me50, into my Palmer Speaker Sim into my Focusrite Scarlett, recording onto Logic.
F.A.Q.
My headphones are purposely like that so the cable stays out the way.
I have a Patreon where I upload my notation notes for all my new covers and I am going through my old ones too. But I also provide custom notation and video lessons content there or at my bwmguitarlessons@gmail.com address. Please get in touch if you want help playing the music you love. / bwm5150

Imagine if Mutt produced this album, we would miss the raw sound.
Brilliant, amazing, fantastic, wow, love it. The solos is perfect, I love how you showcased the intricacies of Steve’s compassion. You did it justice my friend. Thank you
Very well played and great guitar sound again my friend! Keep it up!!🎸 Like n.16!!!
Awesome man this takes me back to listening to this album on my Walkman back when I was 15 years old in 1990
So glad you came across this guitar - Steve was THE driving influence on those first 4 albums. Looking forward to more of your videos that highlight his immense contributions to my favorite band.
great cover dude! OTTN is a very special album, imagine when I found out that they were going to release a live album from that era!!
Incredible. So good, I played it again as soon as it finished!
I have a hard time listening to the old stuff because the recordings aren’t so great- Thank You for bringing them to life. The guitar work was so good!
Sharp as always. Super laid back and precise! You're the king of Def Leppard covers! 🤘
Absolutely awesome! Love it.
Ha I remember having this on a metal compilation on a tape cassette Great to hear you breath new life into it Ben
That tone!!
Great job. I bet if Def Leppard ever needed a stand in guitarist you could get up there and play like you've been with them forever!
Love it man ! Great job !
🤩 Yeeeeeees Ben 🎸🎧 awesome job my king 👑 cheers 🥂 this has been an amazing year for this channel so excited for next year you elevate every year and I love it your journey fan always 🎶🎶🎶
Great tune! Keep rockin' 💥💥💥
I don’t listen to this record much, but this made me realize that they’ve done the palm muting thing from the beginning. Also, you can see the beginnings of die hard here
👏👏👏👏👏
Balls! Any idea what solos were Pete's in those days?
I’ve assumed this was, along with most of the ‘frantic’ sounding ones. I’d have to listen to them all again to remind me but Rock Brigade is certainly a Pete solo.
Sounds better than the original recordings! Awesome job!
Apparently I had some catching up to do. This us BA with the LP. It looks and sounds like you adjusted to both guitars pretty well nice work! 👍🤘🤘🤘💪🍻
I read in a recent interview of Rick Allen, and he stated that they found additional tracks that were recorded during the OTTN sessions. Hope they will be released soon. That and Steve's alternative "Gods Of War" studio recording of the intro, have been holy grails for a lot of DL fans.
Is it me, or did that little riff at 01:50 make an appearance in Die Hard the Hunter?
I think it’s certainly the fossil of an idea that Steve would use on DHTH, yeah. 😁
Absolutely, caught my ear straight away. Great job as always though, Ben.@@bwm5150
Are you playing Steve’s parts only? Or both him and Pete’s?
It’ll be a mix. If it’s just one person I’m covering, I’ll put that in the title, otherwise I’ll try to cover as many parts as a I can.
