This is one of "those" video's...One that demonstrates how far and above mere mortals a pro motocrosser really is...It's like there not even trying and all eyes at trackside are witnessing this shredfest that they will probably tell their grandkids about when they get old...I love it ...
That's crazy that this is the most watched video on mxptv ever!! So proud that I got to watch him grow up as soon as I watched him ride at like Walden an diamondback district 34 tracks you could just tell this kid had it an omg its a great story justin deserves everything he gets cuz he was dirt pour I mean they had nothing but whwn he first started with shitty gear mis matched boots ripped jerseys an old bikes man he was so fast the sponsors couldn't deny I mean whwn he got on 845ccs he was faster then most of the A riders and there have been alot of good pros to come out of the new England new york jersey area I mean we cant even ride all year an we got barcia decotis marshal Louroso my father james Coen his father mcmillan l evett Doug Henry john Dowd. We def profuse alot of good riders in d34 and in nesc but justin is def representing d34 the most barcia fan for life
@Jonathan Habacker I REMEMBER you Dad, Jim. We used to practice at a sand track aptly called Exit 54, it was right off the Long Island Expressway. I watched your dad Jim, tell him I said howdy, hit a double jump that must've been over 100 feet apart. EVERYONE that saw that was just STUNNED😲😟🤔🧐 And it wasn't a nice landing double either, it was a "if you miss you're gonna DIE" peaked jump. He did it TWICE... And that was AFTER what seemed like a 45 minute moto. It's insane to think that's what is necessary to be a Nationally ranked Pro like he was. Then imagine guys like him on bikes whose two fork legs cost 25k bucks a piece with a 35k dollar shock and an army of people keeping every pice working to perfection. As you rightly said, the North East is the SoCal of motocross...and we did that WITHOUT riding all year.😲🤔 😎💪🏻🏁💪🏾😎 Back to @Justin Barcia the year was 2003, I was just coming off winning a track Championship at Walden Playboys in 01 and riding pretty good. It was at Ace MX, not one if my face tracks cos I'm not the best jumper of artificial jumps. I come around a tight right turn into a 50 foot tabletop and like most of the Am riders was landing near the down side but on the to of the jump. To my right and above me I hear BRRRRIIIINNNG. Scared the piss out me cos I was riding ok. I look to where the pinned TWO STROKE sound came from and I'm looking at the underside frame rails and two tiny little feet. My first thought was "WTH is that kid doing up there?" I mean he was like 6 feet above my head and I was already 6 feet off the ground. I had to pull over after the jump and just watch the little kid on a 65cc KTM (I was on the 250 2T version) go blasting around the track making it look effortless. A track worker walked up to me thinking my bike has broke and I asked him who IS that... "That's Justin Barcia, he's gonna be Pro one day." I've never forgotten those words or that day at Ace MX. I've watched him grow from a little bit into grown man and every dream an Am. racer could ever have, Justin has lived it out. Made D34 MSC and SET LISC PROUD to say WE ARE "NOO YAWKAS" Here's the list. *Sonny and Sal Defeo, Ghost Motorcycles. *Buzzy Shara, D34 Legend. *Jim Weinert, 500 National and SX titles and first American to BEAT the EUROPEANS at the sport of motocross. *Pat Moroney, legendary privateer and member of the first Moto X Fox reaching team. * Frank and Andy Stacy. He did, he won his only national on a heavily modded RM125. After that he was riding for the Factory Honda team. RIP warrior. *Justin Barcia. We've come full circle and back where we started. Just was Factory Honda, Factory Yamaha, and now Factory GasGas. ALL these riders bright great honor and pride to everyone who's ever raced D34 MSC/LISC. * No, I DIDN'T forget the latest addition, another Justin, Justin Cooper from Long Island D34 LISC. He's carrying the banner long left by the OG, Jim Habacker. It seems like yesterday when my crew was riding Exit 54 every chance we could get but it was 1989, 33 years ago. Where did the time go...at least we can watch the two Justins wage war on the rest of the country from the warmth of our living room, all the while remembering they got there riding only 8 months of the year. BRAAAP on boys.
Brilliant!!!! This kid has made the "panic rev" a trademark technique. Maybe a handful of guys I have ever seen ride with such heart and total commitment! BRILLIANT!
Justin absolutely just flys!! I've watch him for years in the mini bike classes, this dude is super fast. For those that thinks he overrevs the two stroke... maybe you forget what a fast 125 two stroke sounds like. Watch some early videos of RC or Bubba... sounds the same to me! Great video Wozwick!! Looking forward to more.
Maybe if the same technology an effort that's sunk into four strokes also went into two strokes of this day, many fucks would be givin with no rebuilds.
after watching this video hundereds of times, the way he pulls starts is fantastic, i took it into account on some flat ground in my local championship on my cr125 and just sat back whilst the 4 strokes hugged the front end and it works so well. nearly pulled a holeshot in a open group against 450's. cr125 = best bike ever manufactured.
So sick that I just happened to end up here for this race. I remember him riding by me waiting for practice & thought, that’s cool. Malcom stewart & big james where there too
What ratio did he run his fuel mixture and what spark plug and up grades to the engine ???? Plz need help as I got a 2007 honda cr 125 and doesn't go as hard as this and doesn't sound anything like this and I ring the shit out of it
My buddy owned this bike 2 people after barcia, this bike was the tightest bike I ever rode, from suspension to nuts and bolts, sickkkkk. I’m sure the motor had been rebuilt multiple times before I ever rode it but omgggg
man this kid just wont quit. hes a machine. he rides like villopoto. that 2stroke engine loves the way hes using it to its full potential. less foul plugs
The 4-strokes are super reliable. They won't break down after a beating, if you take care of it. If it does break down though, it will cost you more than a 2-stroke, but a 2-stroke requires more maintenance and will more likely break. A 4-stroke is also a lot easier to drive, since you won't need to keep the engine at high RPM's for it to produce power. And if you're racing you're going to have to replace the pistons on a 2-stroke engine a lot more often, they wear down easily.
Hi! I think he gives full throttle in the air just to return de whips and to absorb the impact, increasing the aceleration at the maximum possible just right after landing. Regards...o/
for cement starting gates its better to have more weight back for better traction. if ur up on the tank and the rear tire is light then the rear tire will just light up...
alot of what peopel dont know is if he hits the jump a certain wat and at the top of the jump it doesn't look like hes gionna land correct you can hit it hard witha rev and it will lift the front a little.. he tends to do it more often than most but thats probably a reason.
@macmillerboiii warm the bike up when you start it. high rev it a few times. and it it does it while ur riding pull in the clutch half way just for a moment and it will kick right into the powerband
@b789har agreed, ive seen some real performance boosting pipes put on 125s and not one of them even came close to running the way Barcias runs, major motor work
When your as fast as him I don't think it matters much haha. I usually rev mine in the air but not wide open. I just give it a little to keep the back wheel spinning and then I pin it right before I land to get a little speed boost when I hit the ground.
@IIWARF4REII I trail ride a YZ250, it isn't bad at all. I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket and put on a flywheel weight. after those two changes it rides great through the woods. very controllable. The new KTM 200w is already set up for the woods. it is fast as hell.
@thehondaguy100 actually, it does make you go faster. It keeps the RPM's up, and the tire moving. so when he lands his tire is already moving and he can come out from the jump faster. Thanks for getting this video over 1 million views! I need to get Justin back on a 125 again.
Never get tired of this vintage Barcia video....thanks Wozzzz!!!
Brilliant!!!! This kid has made the "panic rev" a trademark technique. Maybe a handful of guys I have ever seen ride with such heart and total commitment! BRILLIANT!
2:04 that throttle controlled wheelie!
Justin absolutely just flys!! I've watch him for years in the mini bike classes, this dude is super fast.

Great video Wozwick!! Looking forward to more.
(4:3 stretched to 16:9) + (Justin Barcia) + (cr125) = Viral moto video... God damn this never gets old!
I love that sound at 1:53!
After watching that I know who Ronny mac is
I wish this video could go on forever
fucks given: 0
rebuilds: many

4 years later and I still don't want to like this comment because I wanna keep it on 51 likes yeah barcia!

Rip engine 11:30 AM - 2:30PM
The most exciting rider of his generation. 👍

Cody Tolhopf 40-42:1 is good.
I LOVE the way he starts, and revs to the moon.
Im stoked that he's got over a million views. no doubt a few europeans checkin him out.
This never gets old!
Come back every year for this one
My buddy owned this bike 2 people after barcia, this bike was the tightest bike I ever rode, from suspension to nuts and bolts, sickkkkk. I’m sure the motor had been rebuilt multiple times before I ever rode it but omgggg
that holeshot makes me feel a proud 2stroke owner
i love the 2 strokes you dont take away something that started this sport
he is so smooth its crazy, he is fun to watch
congrats on his first pro nat win at MX338,love this kid!
this is why i love my 2001 cr 125. i may not be the best rider but it proves what these little things are capable of.
He will be racing his first pro national at Glen Helen next month for the Geico Powersports Honda team.
man this kid just wont quit. hes a machine. he rides like villopoto. that 2stroke engine loves the way hes using it to its full potential. less foul plugs
Questa è la miglior musica per le mie orecchie!
This is the best music for my ears!
I love this sound!
go Justin go!
probably one of the best sounds you will ever hear
Love the style, i ride a 250f this makes me want to get a 125
thank god they left the music out on this video because the sound of a properly jetted 125 2 stroke ridden wide open is music to my ears
when this kid was 10 my friend was riding with him on a 250 while justin was on a 65 and he was keeping up just fine. that kid is nuts.
Barcias got that thing pinned ! He revs his bikes to the maxx!
One of the best parts 0:48 gives me the chills.
15 years old! can u believe? hes awesome!
Love how on the start he's just casually sitting on the bike then he gets the holeshot easy.. what a boss
Barcia has just a sick riding style, never really liked him back then now he's just dope.
Thank you so much for an unbiased opinion
"You know the best thing I like about this bike" The throttle sticks!
heey there!
that would be the schoolboy 12-15 class.
My new fav video! Barcia you haul on the 125!
well thanks for filling me in on this new info capt. obvious.
i agree i got a cr125 and i love that bike it sounds so good
Getting though the airport must suck for him... Cause hes got balls of steel!
ok man thanks for explaining that..i was thinking that's what the EFI did, but i wasn't totally sure. It makes sense now.
i have overlooked this video 10 or 11 times so i sat down with som college porfessors and we have concluded that he is fast.
this man is on a different planet in riding...
barcia gives honda a good name, amazing rider
2-strokes, I miss them!
loves the way he just rails those corners...reminds me of Ron Lechien..........yes, I'm old.
Sweeeeeet!!!! Lookin' like Marty Smith with that retro jersey. Listen to that sound boyz!!!!!!!!! Muzak to my ears!!!!!!!!!!
Man I do miss that sound!!!!!
love the old school jersey!

this is the 12th time i watched this video and i still think its ODEEEE crazy
diggin the throwback honda jersey
Hi! I think he gives full throttle in the air just to return de whips and to absorb the impact, increasing the aceleration at the maximum possible just right after landing.
Regards...o/
Need a newer footage of justin with 125!!!! pleaseeee!!!!
Gosh damn he fast..Best sounding and fast as hell off the starting line
yea dude.. i got it as my backround... He was hitting the Leap almost the whole race... he was like the only 250 rider to hit it... Kid is fast!!!!
this kid is awsome. He just pins the throttle a few shifts here and there and holds the fuck on for dear life!
He seemed so relaxed at the line, everyone else was ready to pop a blood vessel lol
ya i know, i am Canadian, i just meant that thats not much oil in your gas but i ride a CR125 so i have to mix about 32:1
for cement starting gates its better to have more weight back for better traction. if ur up on the tank and the rear tire is light then the rear tire will just light up...
it's a good thing he didn't wheelie at the start even if he didn't lean on the bike forward. what a good racer.
that 125 right up on the limiter is just beautiful music isn't it!!!
How do you NOT like this video?!!
holy shit, this dude could just tape the throttle wide open and ride it like that, wow give me chills
from crf 250 2009 to cr 125 2005..
long life two strokes!
Justin Barcia, holds the world record for rebuilding the most top ends in a year
i have a kx 125 and a cr 125 cant wait for the 250 im geting
look how he starts compared to the guys next to him. he looks so relaxed
Barcia knows how to rock the 125!
factory suspension on 125, Beautiful. 1:41 so crisp, that engine is terrifying
alot of what peopel dont know is if he hits the jump a certain wat and at the top of the jump it doesn't look like hes gionna land correct you can hit it hard witha rev and it will lift the front a little.. he tends to do it more often than most but thats probably a reason.
and that's an understatement!
@macmillerboiii warm the bike up when you start it. high rev it a few times. and it it does it while ur riding pull in the clutch half way just for a moment and it will kick right into the powerband
@b789har agreed, ive seen some real performance boosting pipes put on 125s and not one of them even came close to running the way Barcias runs, major motor work
I bet that bike gets a whole rebuild after each race.
"If you ain't mixing gas, you ain't kickin ass"
so cool i had to watch it twice
1.5 million views with only 2 thousand likes?!? Let's step our game up and hit the goddamned like button!
hes revin the shit out of the bike. I bet he rebuilds his top end like every day
Hes really putting that 125 to work.
there is nothing better sounding in motocross than a good 125cc rider.
I saw this video 15 years ago here i am in 2024
Man even on the 125 he hits the rev in the air.
When your as fast as him I don't think it matters much haha. I usually rev mine in the air but not wide open. I just give it a little to keep the back wheel spinning and then I pin it right before I land to get a little speed boost when I hit the ground.
i can watch this over, and over, and over because i never knew 2 strokes had rev limiters ;) barcia
this guy is a badass rider
damn that thing is quick, built cr125's are fast for such a small motor
Barcia has never even heard of a tear off
@IIWARF4REII I trail ride a YZ250, it isn't bad at all. I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket and put on a flywheel weight. after those two changes it rides great through the woods. very controllable. The new KTM 200w is already set up for the woods. it is fast as hell.
I love two strokes, the sound of four strokes simply cannot compare
@thehondaguy100 actually, it does make you go faster. It keeps the RPM's up, and the tire moving. so when he lands his tire is already moving and he can come out from the jump faster. Thats why almost everyone who races like its a religion rides like that. Its to keep the tire moving and the RPM's up
Finally for once, hearing a 2 stroke without music.
that thing sounds so beast
