  • My name is Kenneth from Kolectiv Studios! I am a competition painter and I hope to share my process of preparing for miniature painting competition as well as some behind the scenes of what goes on in the studio.
    Today I will be using the overbrush method to quickly paint up the Terrain from Warcry Catacombs in only 20 minutes! Let's get some games quick!

    That weapons pile is one of the coolest scatter terrains GW has made, I honestly love it! I hope they release it separately some day, as I unfortunately do not play Warcry

      I cannot argue with that. Very well sculpted and a lot of avenue to do more effects :)

      You can usually get these terrain pieces, or the sprues at least, separately on Ebay :)

      I'm going to use these techniques on the original Warcry terrain as I still haven't painted them yet!

      One tip try to plan the colours out so u can use the same colours for all at one step. It might be boring but it will be super fast

    Thanks so much for the guide! I got my stuff painted so fAst! When you used vmc dark grey was it actually dark sea blue? I tried the same thing out and I got the same result with the dark sea blue.

    Is you over brush technique considered more a stipple method? I thought over brush the bristles were more parallel with the surface? I have some artis opus dry brushes can I use this method with those?

    if anyone is new to the hobby you dont need a rotry tool just get a hobby knife AKA EXacto blade
