A dream doesn’t become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination, and sheer hard work. A decision can be life-changing if you choose to ignore your dreams or recognize them. Dima Khatib analyzes the reasons for why individuals sometimes choose to abort their dreams or give rise to them. Dima is a greatly accomplished woman. She is the managing Director of AJ+, an award-winning digital news service in English launched by Al Jazeera Media Network. She is also currently the only female executive director within the Al Jazeera group and one of the few female leaders in the Arab media sphere. She has valuable experience working as a live news producer for the Al Jazeera Arabic Channel. She's covered the Iraq War and has interviewed several leaders such as Hugo Chávez. Her journalistic career has greatly shaped her perspective on various aspects of media and journalism and the greater tendency to resort to sensationalism and bias in media.
