Bardot are a brilliant band from Australia, if only the UK took notice and made Bardot a success, we hardly get any music from Australia these days because of the UK's self obsession with American music when the UK and America are different countries. and they're miles better than Girls Aloud.
I agreed with you on some of your points but it wasn't the UK's music tastes that stopped the band's career. It was their own managers who basically dismantled it to go the more profitable route by promoting one girl as a solo act. Just like what happened with Bardot's PopStars: New Zealand predecessor True Bliss. They started by conning one member into voluntarily leaving for a fake stage musical role they may have set up. Then, while talking to their future solo act girl, they probably took advantage of another girl's emotional and mental fatigue to encourage her to quit. And so the two girls who wanted to stay only learned the band was breaking up when one of them walked into the recording studio and found Sophie Monk's solo recordings all over the place. AND SORRY, BUT THERE'S NO WAY BARDOT'S BETTER THAN GIRLS ALOUD! THERE'S A REASON GIRLS ALOUD WAS THE ONLY POPSTARS SPAWNED BAND THAT WAS SUCCESSFUL FOR MORE THAN TWO ALBUMS!(and this was with Louis Walsh abandoning them and Nadine and Cheryl's constant battle to be Head Girl)!
@emercycrite Er, from what I've read, the lyrics are far more suitable than some of Taylor Swift's lyrics when all she sings about is sex, which is disgusting, she doesn't deserve to be in the music industry.
