I can say from experience it’s a good side hustle renting and selling them. Here Southern California these marquees are pretty popular for parties and events. Good my luck my friend!
Hey man they look amazing. I recently started this project for my wife, I have a question on the stand you put on the bottom of the “R” can you share the size and if you made it for every letter?
Thank you, the bottom base stand are usually the width of the letter. However the length from front to back is 9 inches on all letters and numbers. I hope that helps.
Thank you! I have not had to treat the MDF ends. I do sand them a bit. I stopped using MDF for the Marquee letters and numbers due to the fact that it is heavy. The best plywood I found is at Home depo. Its called Sande 1/2inch and its $50. The marquees come out great when using that plywood. 🙂
What was that little tool you place next to the mitta saw and how do you really use it. Also what was the 2differnt fillers you used. One in a tube the next look like from a tub
If I’m correct you may be referring to the digital angle finder. That helps me get the angle I need for the trim. Cool little tool if you ask me. And I use wood filler.

A 4x8 sheet of plywood $50 at Homedepot. Depending on which letters you are making you can get 2 or 3 letters out of one sheet of plywood. So $50. Wood glue $5. Brad nails $11.
I Bet your final project came out nice. I couldnt finish watching it because you were spinning the camera around. The Nausea that gave me wouldnt let me finish. Next video please try and not spin the camera around so much. I would like to be able to see your finished project. Thanks
You have all of my dream tools! Of course, having the right tools makes it look so easy! Thanks for sharing - you’re quite talented!

Those look amazing, do you have to treat the ends of the MDF to keep it from absorbing the paint and swelling?

How do you store them so they don't take up too much space? A whole set of wooden letters and numbers must be quite bulky!
They definitely take up space. Ideally a shed. But I have them in my garage 😁
