It's really just quickly lipping up to the partial above while moving the slide to the next note. So it becomes F then a quick lip slur to the G while moving to the E. It makes more sense when you try it on the horn.

How does he get so silky smooth and comfortable sounding in that extreme high range? I've played trombone since the late 90s and can't do that.
