It’s because Thailand has a large Chinese tourist and since the health officials withdraw their decision on tourist covid restrictions. Firstly, they made the restrictions because China decision to re-open their borders and dropping its mandatory quarantine requirements despite having a major Covid outbreak ( several countries closed their border to China and some countries restrictions are strict). A lot of Thailand revenue come from tourists; especially from Chinese tourists travelers. The revenue increases during Lunar New Year. The health officials stated that people should still wear mask (some places have mandatory mask signs up) in crowded places. Reasons why you see many people wearing mask. I understand Thailand was hit hard these last three years and their revenue is suppose to skyrocket during this time but I still think they should have had kept the restrictions for tourists; especially from China. There were videos posted of chinese citizens purposely getting Covid and of those that had Covid still getting on planes ( China don’t have requirements right now; to welcome tourists).

Oh, I still wear mines wherever I go. I did before Covid even broke out….although it was only when I had a cold, fever, allergies were acting up, etc. Now, I wear them all he times. People’s manners, in my opinion, has gotten worse. I witnessed a guy punched someone because that person kept coughing on him without covering his mouth or nose ; after he repeatedly ask him to stop. So yeah

Not to avoid infection, but to avoid spreading the virus when you are infected. In Thailand, more families eat with their grandmothers than in the West. Therefore, they make sure that the elderly are not infected.

Thank you for sharing with us. We appreciate it so much. Hmm can you walk through the other sections too. Example…. Ceramics (sections 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 25), Furniture and home decor (sections 1,3,4,7,8), Art and galleries (section 7), and Antiques and collectables (sections 1, 26). I think I remember these sections correctly from the last time I was there exploring; unfortunately I didn’t get to explore last month because it was business trip😢
