There is one circle(Crossroad) adjacent to Ferozshah Kotla Grounds ( Arun Jaitley Stadium), It should be named as Anil Kumble Circle ... I am 100% sure that not even single Delhiite would have any problem with it ....
Imagine 2 retired players +from internationals), Gilly aged 38 and Kumble 40 being the best players of their respective teams and in the IPL. They finished with second each in the most runs and most wicket charts respectively!
1100+ Test Wickets at the Table. 230+ Test Matches. Match winners for Team India. 2 Engineering Degrees. Leaders yet Cerebral humble soldiers. Legends. Wow. Great episode.
Vijay malya atleast had courtesy to bid for local players. Current management let go many good local lads . Management is key for success of the team. Csk has one of the best management.
Ross Taylor was massive in RCB and Bengaluru back then Today's audience wouldn't know, but he was, if not more popular, but on equal terms with ABD. Releasing him was a blunder.
Ash dear!! Please make with Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad. Many may be waiting like me to see their interview/podcast sooner or later. TIA. Keep spinning.
Jumbo should do a villain role where he is pitted against Yash. Or at least a villain voiceover. Hearing his metallic baritone is both scary and weirdly satisfying.
Trump cards with Anil Kumble sir figures of 6-12... u have reminisced and have hit the 90s kid days ash Anna...Thanks for bringing that up...Kudos to your work overall ...and all the best for your ipl....
23:00 man is the goat of RCB... took a team of local boys of Bengaluru - ( vinay , mithun , manish , akhil , appanna too many locals of the state ) and reached finals and lost by 6 runs...took man of the match too in loosing cause though If you look at whom he played around as foreigns ( merwe - today he still plays for netherlands , taylor , jessy rider , cameron green)..not so famous guys but still bundled a unit to reach there...massive respect
Always been a big fan of Anil Kumble, his stories were intriguing! Really wished he had continued as the coach of the Indian team. That team was unbeatable! 🔥 Anyway, watching two legendary Indian spinners in one frame is always a treat. The best 45 minute interview! ❤
This is the first Kutty story episode I watched. Initially I thought I would watch only 5 minutes and skip it but ended up watching fully without break. Anil kumble is a good speaker and good story narrator. Interesting episode on the whole 👏👏👏
Wonderful show Ashwin. I am an 80/90s guy and love to hear legends like Kumble DK Ravibhai. Can we get more such guests it gives more insights of the era that they played and is kind of relatable.
Wonderful interview, Ash is extremely capable of interviewing any cricketing legends. Questions were kept so interesting, what is surprising is , how Ash can do shows with Pdogg also, very versatile. Thank you Anil sir.
Anil Kumble what a legend🎉 I remember him taking a catch in a India v Zim tri-series match in benoni in the late 90s right in front of me on the boundary when we were still allowed to sit outside the ropes as kids and teens. Great catch too
one of the greatest match winners for India,a gentleman one of my favourite anil bhai along with rahul dravid,sachin,sourav,sehwag...man that team was something.....
It's a treat to listen to conversations like these Ash:-) I would love to see GG #5 on your show. Being the kind of outspoken, leadership and yet controversial personality that he has had on and off the field, it would make a perfect dinner time kutti story:-))
Wow Ash what a memory you have brought to fore... Yes 6-12 of Anil sir.. Total wickets of Wasim Batt Avg if Bevan.. And matches of Azharuddin... Sure shot win in Trump cards
Ashwin, I love the way you shine light at the guests . You bring the best out of them through your wonderful questions and you let them share giving them undivided attention. I really wish others learn from you how to ask meaningful questions that translates to wonderful conversations. I always wondered what would Anil do during this situation?. How would Mike Hussey think? Kudos to you. Prithi Ashwin and the Carromball media for putting out this Kutti Series. I have been following your channel from day one and I thoroughly enjoy the discussions. Keep up the great work, Ashwin, Prithi Ashwin and the media team!
On a very serious note RCB should bring Anil Kumble as mentor for those Indian players, they will feel better with someone like him around and he can get good Karnataka boys in the team.
One of the best spinners of the game for India! Still remember that 2009 finals, it was the best chance for RCB to win it! RCB line up on papers were dangerous those days! Hope RCB gets players from Karnataka!
How good was 2000 cricket. There eas equal fight between bat and ball people watched 50 overs match without a break. Sitting infront of the tv whole day to watch them play Today's generation never get that nostalgia feel
I usually listen to the interviews of players who played cricket before 2013 or 2015. Because they deeply touch the philosophy of the game and their cricketing mind is sharper as opposed to current players who only know hit six six six and their peice tag....😂.
My dad since 1999 says anil kumble should be the captain. I always thought he could be but still a bold choice when you have Ganguly Sachin dravid in the side. Same we think for Ashwin especially in test he could easily led the side after Kohli but we are too obsessed with batsman.
i was one of the many fans of anil kumble waiting patiently in tests watching bowl over after over after over till he got the 1st wicket. then the wickets would come in a cascade. that has always been his hallmark. lovely bowler, always compared to shane warne and critizised for not having turn as much as warnie, but he had his own unique ways of getting wickets which the warnies couldnt replicate
We have named a place after Kumble in Bangalore (Anil Kumble circle) after he took 10 wickets against Pakistan. He is pride of Karnataka.
Pride of India rather.
Hope there will be an Ashwin circle in Chennai oneday
There is one circle(Crossroad) adjacent to Ferozshah Kotla Grounds ( Arun Jaitley Stadium), It should be named as Anil Kumble Circle ... I am 100% sure that not even single Delhiite would have any problem with it ....
Kerala did this centuries ago .
There is a place called Kumbala in Kasargod , his father’s family are from there !
@@beautifulworld4267 we also have anil kumble circle in kumbla. ❤
He did everything to get the cup to RCB… he literally opened the bowling and bowled Gilly who was in a terrific form… leader, legend 🔥🔥🔥
What? So others are failing only cause they don’t want RCB to win the “cup”? lol. So lame.
Imagine 2 retired players +from internationals), Gilly aged 38 and Kumble 40 being the best players of their respective teams and in the IPL. They finished with second each in the most runs and most wicket charts respectively!
Kumble's dedication as a leader goes beyond RCB. Always had been a great fan of his leadership. Great leader he was.
Jumbo commands respect and Ashwin's gesture speaks volumes about how much he respects & adores him
1100+ Test Wickets at the Table. 230+ Test Matches. Match winners for Team India. 2 Engineering Degrees. Leaders yet Cerebral humble soldiers. Legends. Wow. Great episode.
Thambis are the best of Indians
Ethics, Respect, Class, Gentlemen, Passion, Pride, Legacy everything personified in Anil Kumble
u nailed it yes he is true hearted man
"Only one team was playing with the spirit of the game, that's all I can say," Kumble.
Iconic line by an iconic player

@@bluenotebook489 This was Kumble's statement in an interview after the 2008 Sydney test.
@@anotheronebitesthedust-k7s thanks
That India Australia Rivalry was pure gold. The guys who spoke to the press during those times were Dravid, Ganguli, Kumble etc.
Very Spiritual understanding of the game..Namaskara Gurugale Anil Kumble 🙏🏽
Vijay malya atleast had courtesy to bid for local players. Current management let go many good local lads . Management is key for success of the team. Csk has one of the best management.
No they never bid for TN too The csk is bad too.
Time has changed, things were different back then
Csk is equally badamong all teams currently, especially last 6-8years ,local Players are not at all bought in the auctions.
Every team owner would go to the winning formula. Not with local guys. If your mind set is that , never your team in winning side.
What a gentleman. It's lovely to hear Anil Kumble. Thank you Ash
One of the finest cricketers india has ever produced. Loved this interview and his knowledge about this game is highest of levels. Truly a Legend 🫡♡
Ross Taylor was massive in RCB and Bengaluru back then Today's audience wouldn't know, but he was, if not more popular, but on equal terms with ABD. Releasing him was a blunder.
even kevin peterson
💯 correct
@@captain_redalt7887Kevin Peterson didn't performed well for RCB , even Jaques kallis played good innings so many matches for RCB
Indian Legend ❤️ Namma Kannadiga 💛❤️
Pleased to see our proud kannadiga Mr Anil Kumble with huge admiration in his eyes for Karnataka❤
Glad Kumble mentioned Ross Taylor's name. He was incredible for RCB and Dravid was a big fan of him.
Before Abd , he is the first foreign player we RCB fans loved most , his leg side sixes are treat to watch
Yes he was a hero back then no AB NO VIRAT..Ross did so much
I can never get bored of listening to Ashwin. His knowledge of cricket and the way he expresses things are unmatched.
Ash dear!! Please make with Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad. Many may be waiting like me to see their interview/podcast sooner or later. TIA. Keep spinning.
And please ask Javagal Srinath why he flip the coin against RCB during toss!!!
Ash anna and Jumbo together, I wish I had seen them bowl together, legends of Indian cricket 🎉❤
Two greatest spinner India have produced till now... Thank you for your service, you provided to India.
Jumbo should do a villain role where he is pitted against Yash. Or at least a villain voiceover. Hearing his metallic baritone is both scary and weirdly satisfying.

Intelligence is so cool. Love to see responsible and mature humans.

Small correction, it's a different colour - you mean Cameron White! Cameron Green was in primary school in 2009, haha!
The Legend Anil Kumble ❤
10 Wickets in an Innings that too VS PAK a great Feature Indeed 🔥🔥. Kumble always with a Smile on his face created the Fear in batters 🙌
Against a pretty good batting unit
Always been a big fan of Anil Kumble, his stories were intriguing! Really wished he had continued as the coach of the Indian team. That team was unbeatable! 🔥
Anyway, watching two legendary Indian spinners in one frame is always a treat.
The best 45 minute interview! ❤
two reasons why India became a fortress in terms of Test cricket. I wish they played some test matches together.❤
Man his voice is so pleasant to hear 😁
Nowadays where we Hardly see Leg spinners in Test cricket Anil Kumble mastered the Skill with 619 Wickets 🔥🔥.
True that Anil managed to get the 600+ wickets without turning the ball that’s something phenomenal
This is the first Kutty story episode I watched. Initially I thought I would watch only 5 minutes and skip it but ended up watching fully without break. Anil kumble is a good speaker and good story narrator. Interesting episode on the whole 👏👏👏

Not just 90's kid . In this internet world, everyone remember all Indian legends who contributed immensely for Indian cricket.
Me watching live in stadium anil kumble and javagal srinath winning odi when 8 wickets down partnership of 60 plus agains Australia is greatest
Our Bengaluru Boy!! Thanks Ash for getting our Jumbo.. great interview…
Two players who achieved greatness just by sheer hard work and determination.

My All time fav not just because of his cricketing skills rather his selflessness and team first approach 🎉
Anil and Sachin were the greatest match winners. One would set it up and the other would finish it off.
Tendulkar was a better match winner in ODIs whereas Kumble was better in tests
I love the introductory music. Reminds me of the 90s cricket themes
What a great intellect .. his innings with srinath against australia and 10 wkts was the highlight of my childhood
What a beautiful conversation 💛❤️

JB would be very proud of being born on 6th day of the 12th month making it 6-12 which is also AK's best bowling spellbound, 90s kid here.
Hey Ashwin, please bring gautam gambhir in your show. Will be a very good chat about cricket . He is very knowledgeable guy
Unless he talks about 2011 world cup😂😂😂
Gentleman, fighter , legend !
The one & only Anil Kumble 🙌
Exactly. This Robin was the cause we lost back then. Now dude goes lecturing how RCB should get to winning ways 😤
We reached Finals in 2009 under his captaincy where he picked Adam in first over if I am not wrong.
