I like the atmosphere of the Steamhammer version, that pour production makes it my favorite version of the two versions. There is nothing to argue, the Metal Blade version is best-pulled on production, but the atmosphere of this one makes it special.
I don't know. I love both recordings. They both have their charms in terms of production. This version is raw and atmospheric, the metal blade is heavier and more aggressive. The music doesn't change and it sounds great no matter what the production value. If you think production value determines the quality of the music and the songwriting, then you need to go away.
