The takibi tarp does not collect smoke, and of course you can always set it up without the lining. All that said, your set up is exquisite! Another commenter said the Jikaro table is a useful barrier to keep children at a distance and I definitely agree with that.

the Jikaro fire ring is amazing for kids. it doesn't let them reach the fire and the entire table doesn't heat up, even though its all metal. Its actually kind of strange how you can have a large fire but if you touch the table its not hot!
I definitely need to get one! That’s nice that it doesn’t get to hot. I’d probably worry a lot less with the fire going; right now we just keep him close to us. The only problem is that I’m a little short on space in my car at the moment, but it’s definitely something I’m considering, especially for safety! Thanks for sharing!
Nice. I see you also picked up a Snow Peak Flogga for the Takibi - you'll have to do a video on all the components of how you use the Takibi from cooking to just a fire pit. The big drawback I've found with the Snow Peak camping set-up is that it does require a big campsite area - not always possible in National Parks or State Parks - but definitely possible if you're dispersed camping. That is completely true, you need a large space to set everything up, especially with the tarps and shelters. The problem I always have with National and State parks is they always place the fire ring or concrete picnic table in the center cramming the space even further. I have found a few in the Olympic National Park that have a large enough space, but with the increase in vans and rv's it can be challenging to get spots! Thanks for watching!

Haha it happens! We’re waiting for the weather to cool down up here in Washington as well. Before we started car camping we only backpacked, so this style of camping was completely new to us! Hi Ryan, Thanks for another excellent video showing your equipment. Based on your “cinematography” of the Alpha Breeze, I ended up getting that tent. Then, I went through the same deliberations as you did about which tarp to get. Just assumed the ivory color was the way to go. Bought the Evo Pro in ivory and returned it. Great design but just too large. Bought the Takibi version of the Hexa Medium. Returned that as well for same reason you cite - I had to ask myself - would I really make a fire under it? Then I got the Hexa Medium tarp, same as yours. Glad to see that the color works so well with the ivory tent (I worried they would look mismatched). That second folding table is a real winner. Sets up so easily. I have not been able to use any of my new gear yet, as it is winter in New England. But as soon as campgrounds open in Vermont, I will. I want to try setting up the tarp so it is partially over the tent. Have you thought about a set up like that? Please keep up these videos coming. They are really inspirational.

I love how organized you are with your set up. we have a Large Amenity Dome and a few snow peak items as well. We love the product ever since we camped for Fuji Rock and saw various tents and set up. i really wanted to get the Hexa Tarp as well but settled with another Japanese brand called DOD with the Itsuka Tarp. We are still a little traumatized with the shipping cost and custom fees since the international site for Snow Peak is based (and ships) in the US.
Hey, thanks a lot! It's been a process figuring out what we actually need out there, but yeah we try to keep things pretty minimalistic to make the setup/takedown time efficient. The amenity dome's are awesome tents! I live by Snow Peak's Portland location and am always amazed with the massive front covered space it offers. I see a lot of DOD here on UA-cam and it looks to be nice as well! I wish Snow Peak could work out the logistics on their international shipping to bring the cost down. I hear about this from a lot of people who live outside the U.S as well and want to order more Snow Peak gear, but the shipping costs and fees just don't make sense.

We camp with our 6 dogs so the dome is the right size for us. I’m in Asia so it make sense to buy somewhere near. looking forward to your next videos. just subscribed to your channel. we still have to work on optimizing setting up/taking down stuff as we currently take 2 hours each time.

Nice videos, great equipment choices and superb "staging." I've also decided on an Alpha Breeze but also considered an MSR Habitude. Also planning on a Snow Peak fire pit but am not sure which size--the Large seems somewhat bulky (especially with the Flog) and the Solo is actually appealing to so I'm still evaluating...The Snow Peak Alpha Breeze is a lot heavier (their beautiful tables and accessories are heavy as well) but durability and comfort do count for a lot. The large Takibi fire place isn’t as big as it looks though and folds completely flat. It’s definitely nice to have the larger fireplace if your going to have more two people around it. I’ve seen the takibi solo in person and it looks really nice as well! The Floga is definitely nice to have and works great, but is a bit large to transport like you said. Loving your videos. Have watched the back catalogue and purchased some snow peak! What made you decide to use the Pendleton as a floor cover as opposed to the snow peak mat? Keep the vids coming.
Thank you! I picked up a mat/sheet set on sale a while back and have only brought the inner mat one time. The foam mat snow peak gives is pretty large when folded compared to a queen size wool blanket. It’s nice though, and absorbs the small pebbles/rocks on the floor creating a nicer living space feel. It’s great to have if your going more than a couple days and have the room in your vehicle.
This is family camping perfection! I’m curious which ‘door mat’ are you using outside the alpha breeze? I like it’s a big size, and seems to fit the vestibule perfectly.

Thanks! We have the stacking shelf container 25, the smaller size of the two. It holds about a bundle and a half of firewood plus you can put extra kindling on top. It fits regular store bought firewood perfectly, so no wasted space. It's a really nice crate and I would definitely buy it again. I'll make a video on this to show the size and what items fit in it. The larger one can definitely hold more, but I am happy ours.
Hey! We don’t use any external heat sources inside the tent. The three blankets combined with the mega mat does a pretty good job of keeping us warm all night. When it’s extra cold out we add a sweater on top of our 250 weight merino base layers, sweat pants, and wear beanies.
Hey Ryan, thanks for giving us a detailed breakdown of all your gear. I've been watching your channel and you've helped convince me in picking up the beach chair and Alpha Breeze tent. I was curious about your thoughts about the Floga. How would you compare the fires with the Floga and without the Floga? I have a Solo Stove Ranger that I love, but I'm considering committing to a Floga. The downside of the Solo Stove is that all heat emits upward and provides no heat to your lower extremities. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey, so I used the takibi fireplace for about a year before I bought the floga and It’s great as is. However, adding the floga makes a noticeable difference and the fires seem to burn more efficiently. I’d say if you like the fire experience of your ranger go with the floga for sure. The Takibi does a fantastic job at emitting the heat, you’ll definitely feel it from the sides!
We’re about to buy the hexa set, but we’re on the fence between the medium and the large. If you guys had 2 extra kids would you have gone for the large or stayed with the medium. We have 3 kids and I’m wondering if the large will be a good fit or if it will just be super massive.
I'd probably go with an Evo Pro over the Large Hexa. It would give you more space in the center and you can even prop up the sides and have a really nice shaded space. However, I think the Hexa Medium set could work just fine as well, but it would all depend on how much gear you put under it. I feel like there is still a bit of extra room for a longer table and a couple more chairs or even a bench for two of the kids.
For the first year or so I just used 6mil black plastic sheeting and it worked just fine. Outline it with a silver sharpie and cut. Make sure it’s not sticking out, you want it cut slightly smaller than the tent. I now use the SP mat and sheet set. I wish they’d just sell the groundsheet on its own!
Hi Ryan which solid stake size and number of stakes do you recommend for the Alpha Breeze? I just picked one up from REI last week in preparation for a camping trip.
Nice!! Congrats on the new tent! I use 11 stakes including staking out the front awning. If you choose to use the guy out points you’ll need to bring additional stakes. I use #30 solid stakes for the whole tent. Definitely recommend the copper peg hammer as well. They also sell a #30 stake set with the hammer, 18 stakes, and a multi container.
Hey Ryan, I recently got a Baja burner and did some research online. I found out that in Japan, people are using the silver canister for upsidedown. In the US, we only have the gold canister. Do you have any problem while using it upsidedown? Ty
Hey, I haven’t had any issues when Inverting the fuel, it actually works better. So before you actually place the canister inverted your going to want to fire up the stove for about 10-20 seconds with the fuel upright. After that you can insert the fuel inverted underneath the stove. I recommend doing the same thing when removing the canister to avoid excess gas release when taking it off. If you leave it inverted for a while after cooking and then try and start up the stove again you may get a huge flame. So it’s best to warm up the stove and gas line first upright. Hope this helps!
On the floor were using a queen size Pendleton Yakima camp. Paired with good base layers, heavy wool socks, a top mid layer, and beanie it was ok in the low temps. I recently purchased down sleeping bags from RAB and will be trying them out in some cold weather camping soon!
There's tons of nice gear out there and like you said it's expensive. I usually acquire a few pieces at a time, mainly during sales to save around 25% off. (Sales are usually 20% and my US Bank Credit Card gives me 5% extra on all outdoor purchases). I plan on using all my gear for many years, so hopefully it ends up saving me some money one day haha. Another cool thing about Snow Peak is their guarantee for life on all gear. More important than gear is just going out and having a good time with whatever gear you have or don't have. There are slight fabric differences but other than that the dimensions are identical. I recently picked a takibi tarp up and really enjoyed using it in the rain!
@@adaminjp When starting and stopping the fire, definitely a bit of smoke. It's not so bad though once it gets going and the Floga helped a lot. We really enjoyed it in the rain, and it was definitely warmer than gathering around our small wood stove.
I like your videos! I've recently been getting into camping and Snow Peak tents! Please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but where do you guys go to the toilet/shower in a place like that? Im trying to convince the wife to try out camping as well! Thanks.
Thank you! That’s a great question, we bring a “Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Toilet” and use regular trash bags with it. There a couple options on how to use it, but here’s what we do. Option 1, if there is adequate privacy and not near water, we dig a hole, take out the net on the toilet and make a hole in a trash bag and then everything goes into the hole (except toilet paper and wipes), which go into a ziplock. It’s handy to have a small side table to keep toilet paper and wipes close. If privacy isn’t great, you can go inside your vestibule area or even tent, and just empty the contents from the bag into a hole. I also have a medium size husky container I got from home depot that has a seal to keep the smell down if I’m at a place where I can’t dig a hole. Usually we don’t shower if we’re out for just a couple nights, but baby wipes can work great to feel a bit better. On longer trips, if your near a nice creek or water you can use a natural soap and wash off. We use Dr Bronner’s pure Castile soap when we’re out. Showering is nice but a bit tricky unless you have access to more water. They have options like the Sea to Summit Water Cell X 20 liter, which should get you one to two showers.

Hi Ryan! Aloha from Honolulu again! Hey I really like your choice of a throw blanket in this video and other videos! What is the color name and size for the blanket on one of your low chairs at 3:06 in the video? Thanks! By the way, 2 and a half years ago, I purchased a Snow Peak Hexa Evo Pro. This was after I had tried numerous beach shelters and tarps, and I needed more shade and better shade from the Hawaii sun. I also saw as many videos as I could find on Snow Peak tarps including all the ones in Japanese. What made me decide on the Hexa Evo Pro was that it only needed 6 stakes to setup. What an experience when I had the Hexa Evo Pro set up! Spacious and more importantly it blocked out so much heat from the sun it was unbelievable. With a regular $100 tarp I could still feel a lot of heat coming through the tarp onto my head. With the Hexa Evo Pro, it was nice and cool under the tarp and no more scalp burning. :-) I can't wait until you upgrade to the Land Lock, and yes.... I just planted that seed in your mind. :p Thanks Ryan!
Hey, thanks! Good eye spotting the new Pendleton print! It's the Harding Spa Towel and it measures 40 by 70 inches. I think I watched all those same videos on the Evo Pro as well! Requiring only 6 stakes was really appealing to me and having fewer ropes staked out would be less of tripping hazard around camp. Have you tried staking down the sides directly into the ground? I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it seemed like it would be possible and helpful in smaller campsites where you don't have enough room to stake out the sides as they were intended. The Land Lock would be amazing for sure, we'll have to see what the future brings! Thanks for watching!
@@rtmadani Hi Ryan! With the 2 main poles at 280cm, the sides if staked to the ground will make the sides too vertical and limit the usable space. If I retain the 280cm poles, then I add 2 shorter poles to the two side, and I can stake much closer in compared to without the 2 shorter side poles. The other way to do it is to shorten the main poles to around 240cm and without changing the geometry and slope of the sides, the stakes for the 2 sides can be much closer in with shorter guy lines to decrease the footprint. I must say the Snow Peak tarps are super well built with durable and high performing materials, and this on top of the beautiful design in shape and slopes. I'm itching to set it up this weekend at the local beach park! Thanks for the info on the Pendleton spa towel!

Hey, what exactly are you having trouble with the C-pole? So this pole we put in last, and actually just feed it through the sleeve as we're assembling the pole. You have to make sure that pole is on top of the A poles and as long as you get one side into the red clip, the other side is pretty easy to adjust and clip in. The next video I'm working on has a little more footage showing the set up of the Alpha Breeze, but let me know what exactly is giving you trouble so we can figure it out! For the foot print, I'm just using 6mil black plastic sheeting from Lowe's cut slightly smaller than the tent. This has been working great for us, but Snow peak will be releasing a foot print soon for the Alpha Breeze (according to an employee from snow peak Portland).
@@rtmadani Thanks for your reply. After I get one side of the C-pole into the red clip, it is a bit hard to pull for another red clip. I could feel the tension of the pole and I didn't know if it is normal
I know exactly what your talking about! So after one side is inserted, go to the other side and actually push the pole through the sleeve back towards the side you already inserted. To do this, I grab the sleeve with one hand and feed the pole through just a little, which evens it out and reduces the tension when trying to insert it. I can also send you a video showing what I’m talking about, just send me an email if your interested!
@@rtmadani I had the Living shell long pro, I think you may be fine because yours don't have snow skirts, I live in Vegas, almost all the campsite near by are sand and rocks, those skirts will be destroy after one trip lol; I was lucky the tent had a defect so I returned and asked them to send me the brown one instead; that's the one thing I like Snow Peak, warranty =]; Ivory looks so nice but really depends on where you live
That makes sense, I can definitely see how those skirts could wear out quickly! That’s good to know, I’ve always been curious how that style would hold up on any surface other than grass.

Then, I went through the same deliberations as you did about which tarp to get. Just assumed the ivory color was the way to go. Bought the Evo Pro in ivory and returned it. Great design but just too large. Bought the Takibi version of the Hexa Medium. Returned that as well for same reason you cite - I had to ask myself - would I really make a fire under it? Then I got the Hexa Medium tarp, same as yours. Glad to see that the color works so well with the ivory tent (I worried they would look mismatched). That second folding table is a real winner. Sets up so easily. I have not been able to use any of my new gear yet, as it is winter in New England. But as soon as campgrounds open in Vermont, I will. I want to try setting up the tarp so it is partially over the tent. Have you thought about a set up like that? Please keep up these videos coming. They are really inspirational.

I love how organized you are with your set up. we have a Large Amenity Dome and a few snow peak items as well. We love the product ever since we camped for Fuji Rock and saw various tents and set up. i really wanted to get the Hexa Tarp as well but settled with another Japanese brand called DOD with the Itsuka Tarp. We are still a little traumatized with the shipping cost and custom fees since the international site for Snow Peak is based (and ships) in the US.
Hey, thanks a lot! It's been a process figuring out what we actually need out there, but yeah we try to keep things pretty minimalistic to make the setup/takedown time efficient. The amenity dome's are awesome tents! I live by Snow Peak's Portland location and am always amazed with the massive front covered space it offers. I see a lot of DOD here on UA-cam and it looks to be nice as well! I wish Snow Peak could work out the logistics on their international shipping to bring the cost down. I hear about this from a lot of people who live outside the U.S as well and want to order more Snow Peak gear, but the shipping costs and fees just don't make sense.
@@rtmadani was inspired to get an IGT after seeing your video yesterday and found a buying platform in Japan. Got an Ozen Solo Table and the entryway IGT (for now). We camp with our 6 dogs so the dome is the right size for us. I’m in Asia so it make sense to buy somewhere near. looking forward to your next videos. just subscribed to your channel. we still have to work on optimizing setting up/taking down stuff as we currently take 2 hours each time.

Nice videos, great equipment choices and superb "staging." I've also decided on an Alpha Breeze but also considered an MSR Habitude. Also planning on a Snow Peak fire pit but am not sure which size--the Large seems somewhat bulky (especially with the Flog) and the Solo is actually appealing to so I'm still evaluating...The Snow Peak Alpha Breeze is a lot heavier (their beautiful tables and accessories are heavy as well) but durability and comfort do count for a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks! Nice, I hope you enjoy using the Alpha Breeze; it’s an awesome tent! Before we started car camping, we only did backpacking trips, so initially the weight was a shock for us! The large Takibi fire place isn’t as big as it looks though and folds completely flat. It’s definitely nice to have the larger fireplace if your going to have more two people around it. I’ve seen the takibi solo in person and it looks really nice as well! The Floga is definitely nice to have and works great, but is a bit large to transport like you said. Loving your videos. Have watched the back catalogue and purchased some snow peak! What made you decide to use the Pendleton as a floor cover as opposed to the snow peak mat? Keep the vids coming.
Thank you! I picked up a mat/sheet set on sale a while back and have only brought the inner mat one time. The foam mat snow peak gives is pretty large when folded compared to a queen size wool blanket. It’s nice though, and absorbs the small pebbles/rocks on the floor creating a nicer living space feel. It’s great to have if your going more than a couple days and have the room in your vehicle.
This is family camping perfection! I’m curious which ‘door mat’ are you using outside the alpha breeze? I like it’s a big size, and seems to fit the vestibule perfectly.

Thanks fue yet another excellent and useful video! What size stacking shelf container do you use to carry wood? Would you buy it again or get something else if you could do it over again?
Thanks! We have the stacking shelf container 25, the smaller size of the two. It holds about a bundle and a half of firewood plus you can put extra kindling on top. It fits regular store bought firewood perfectly, so no wasted space. It's a really nice crate and I would definitely buy it again.
I'll make a video on this to show the size and what items fit in it. The larger one can definitely hold more, but I am happy ours.

Hey! We don’t use any external heat sources inside the tent. The three blankets combined with the mega mat does a pretty good job of keeping us warm all night. When it’s extra cold out we add a sweater on top of our 250 weight merino base layers, sweat pants, and wear beanies.

Hey Ryan, thanks for giving us a detailed breakdown of all your gear. I've been watching your channel and you've helped convince me in picking up the beach chair and Alpha Breeze tent. I was curious about your thoughts about the Floga. How would you compare the fires with the Floga and without the Floga? I have a Solo Stove Ranger that I love, but I'm considering committing to a Floga. The downside of the Solo Stove is that all heat emits upward and provides no heat to your lower extremities. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey, so I used the takibi fireplace for about a year before I bought the floga and It’s great as is. However, adding the floga makes a noticeable difference and the fires seem to burn more efficiently. I’d say if you like the fire experience of your ranger go with the floga for sure. The Takibi does a fantastic job at emitting the heat, you’ll definitely feel it from the sides!

We’re about to buy the hexa set, but we’re on the fence between the medium and the large. If you guys had 2 extra kids would you have gone for the large or stayed with the medium. We have 3 kids and I’m wondering if the large will be a good fit or if it will just be super massive.
I'd probably go with an Evo Pro over the Large Hexa. It would give you more space in the center and you can even prop up the sides and have a really nice shaded space.
However, I think the Hexa Medium set could work just fine as well, but it would all depend on how much gear you put under it. I feel like there is still a bit of extra room for a longer table and a couple more chairs or even a bench for two of the kids.
What do you use for the tarp under your tent? I don't want to spend 200+ on the specific tarp for the alpha breeze tent haha
For the first year or so I just used 6mil black plastic sheeting and it worked just fine. Outline it with a silver sharpie and cut. Make sure it’s not sticking out, you want it cut slightly smaller than the tent.
I now use the SP mat and sheet set. I wish they’d just sell the groundsheet on its own!

Hi Ryan which solid stake size and number of stakes do you recommend for the Alpha Breeze? I just picked one up from REI last week in preparation for a camping trip.
Nice!! Congrats on the new tent! I use 11 stakes including staking out the front awning. If you choose to use the guy out points you’ll need to bring additional stakes. I use #30 solid stakes for the whole tent. Definitely recommend the copper peg hammer as well. They also sell a #30 stake set with the hammer, 18 stakes, and a multi container.

Hey Ryan, I recently got a Baja burner and did some research online. I found out that in Japan, people are using the silver canister for upsidedown. In the US, we only have the gold canister. Do you have any problem while using it upsidedown? Ty
Hey, I haven’t had any issues when Inverting the fuel, it actually works better. So before you actually place the canister inverted your going to want to fire up the stove for about 10-20 seconds with the fuel upright. After that you can insert the fuel inverted underneath the stove. I recommend doing the same thing when removing the canister to avoid excess gas release when taking it off.
If you leave it inverted for a while after cooking and then try and start up the stove again you may get a huge flame. So it’s best to warm up the stove and gas line first upright.

On the floor were using a queen size Pendleton Yakima camp. Paired with good base layers, heavy wool socks, a top mid layer, and beanie it was ok in the low temps. I recently purchased down sleeping bags from RAB and will be trying them out in some cold weather camping soon!
If you're rich, and don't know any better, buy all of this stuff. It's nice stuff.
There's tons of nice gear out there and like you said it's expensive. I usually acquire a few pieces at a time, mainly during sales to save around 25% off. (Sales are usually 20% and my US Bank Credit Card gives me 5% extra on all outdoor purchases).
I plan on using all my gear for many years, so hopefully it ends up saving me some money one day haha. Another cool thing about Snow Peak is their guarantee for life on all gear. More important than gear is just going out and having a good time with whatever gear you have or don't have. It's always better outside. Thank you for watching!
Wouldn’t the Takibi tarp provide more flexibility but be the same size as the hexa tarp?
There are slight fabric differences but other than that the dimensions are identical. I recently picked a takibi tarp up and really enjoyed using it in the rain!
Did you try a fire under it? Wondering if there was as much smoke as you thought when you tried it.
@@adaminjp When starting and stopping the fire, definitely a bit of smoke. It's not so bad though once it gets going and the Floga helped a lot. We really enjoyed it in the rain, and it was definitely warmer than gathering around our small wood stove.

I like your videos! I've recently been getting into camping and Snow Peak tents! Please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but where do you guys go to the toilet/shower in a place like that? Im trying to convince the wife to try out camping as well! Thanks.
Thank you! That’s a great question, we bring a “Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Toilet” and use regular trash bags with it. There a couple options on how to use it, but here’s what we do. Option 1, if there is adequate privacy and not near water, we dig a hole, take out the net on the toilet and make a hole in a trash bag and then everything goes into the hole (except toilet paper and wipes), which go into a ziplock. It’s handy to have a small side table to keep toilet paper and wipes close. If privacy isn’t great, you can go inside your vestibule area or even tent, and just empty the contents from the bag into a hole. I also have a medium size husky container I got from home depot that has a seal to keep the smell down if I’m at a place where I can’t dig a hole.
Usually we don’t shower if we’re out for just a couple nights, but baby wipes can work great to feel a bit better. On longer trips, if your near a nice creek or water you can use a natural soap and wash off. We use Dr Bronner’s pure Castile soap when we’re out. Showering is nice but a bit tricky unless you have access to more water. They have options like the Sea to Summit Water Cell X 20 liter, which should get you one to two showers.

What is the color name and size for the blanket on one of your low chairs at 3:06 in the video? Thanks! By the way, 2 and a half years ago, I purchased a Snow Peak Hexa Evo Pro. This was after I had tried numerous beach shelters and tarps, and I needed more shade and better shade from the Hawaii sun. I also saw as many videos as I could find on Snow Peak tarps including all the ones in Japanese. What made me decide on the Hexa Evo Pro was that it only needed 6 stakes to setup. What an experience when I had the Hexa Evo Pro set up! Spacious and more importantly it blocked out so much heat from the sun it was unbelievable. With a regular $100 tarp I could still feel a lot of heat coming through the tarp onto my head. With the Hexa Evo Pro, it was nice and cool under the tarp and no more scalp burning. :-) I can't wait until you upgrade to the Land Lock, and yes.... Hey, thanks! Good eye spotting the new Pendleton print! It's the Harding Spa Towel and it measures 40 by 70 inches. I think I watched all those same videos on the Evo Pro as well! Requiring only 6 stakes was really appealing to me and having fewer ropes staked out would be less of tripping hazard around camp. Have you tried staking down the sides directly into the ground? I wasn't sure how well it would work, but it seemed like it would be possible and helpful in smaller campsites where you don't have enough room to stake out the sides as they were intended. The Land Lock would be amazing for sure, we'll have to see what the future brings! Thanks for watching!
@@rtmadani Hi Ryan! With the 2 main poles at 280cm, the sides if staked to the ground will make the sides too vertical and limit the usable space. If I retain the 280cm poles, then I add 2 shorter poles to the two side, and I can stake much closer in compared to without the 2 shorter side poles. The other way to do it is to shorten the main poles to around 240cm and without changing the geometry and slope of the sides, the stakes for the 2 sides can be much closer in with shorter guy lines to decrease the footprint.
I must say the Snow Peak tarps are super well built with durable and high performing materials, and this on top of the beautiful design in shape and slopes. I'm itching to set it up this weekend at the local beach park!

Hello Ryan, I got the alpha breeze recently. I got a problem in the set up, especially the C-pole. Would you mind to share a video about the tent set-up?? Besides, which footprint you used for the alpha breeze:)? thank you! really enjoy your videos
Hey, what exactly are you having trouble with the C-pole? So this pole we put in last, and actually just feed it through the sleeve as we're assembling the pole. You have to make sure that pole is on top of the A poles and as long as you get one side into the red clip, the other side is pretty easy to adjust and clip in. The next video I'm working on has a little more footage showing the set up of the Alpha Breeze, but let me know what exactly is giving you trouble so we can figure it out! For the foot print, I'm just using 6mil black plastic sheeting from Lowe's cut slightly smaller than the tent. This has been working great for us, but Snow peak will be releasing a foot print soon for the Alpha Breeze (according to an employee from snow peak Portland).
@@rtmadani Thanks for your reply. After I get one side of the C-pole into the red clip, it is a bit hard to pull for another red clip. I could feel the tension of the pole and I didn't know if it is normal
I know exactly what your talking about! So after one side is inserted, go to the other side and actually push the pole through the sleeve back towards the side you already inserted. To do this, I grab the sleeve with one hand and feed the pole through just a little, which evens it out and reduces the tension when trying to insert it.

@@rtmadani I had the Living shell long pro, I think you may be fine because yours don't have snow skirts, I live in Vegas, almost all the campsite near by are sand and rocks, those skirts will be destroy after one trip lol; I was lucky the tent had a defect so I returned and asked them to send me the brown one instead; that's the one thing I like Snow Peak, warranty =]; Ivory looks so nice but really depends on where you live
