Logset TH55 harvester head on a CAT 501

Canadian Marc-André Mercier has owned and operated several Logset forwarders, but during Summer 2020 he got his first Logset TH55 harvester head that was installed on a purpose built CAT 501 machine with 160 hp. Mercier works in mixed thinning forests with soft and hard wood.
- I’m impressed by the compact design of the head and how heavy duty built it is. The head goes surprisingly well in curved timber, he says.
For him, learning the TOC-MD 2 operating solution from Logset was easy, since the program has the same base as the TOC 2 operating system in his forwarders.
