This was a great idea. I was never really a fan of Spirit, but carrying it on from Halloween to Christmas is better for employees... it allows them to stay employed through the holidays. Nice!
@@KarinaZambrano-zm1yohonestly spirits can become a yearly store but there is months where holidays are not rhay big or generate huge sales. @@CryptidGrinder not in Southern California. You’ll see Christmas stuff available at Target and Home Depot, but no designated Christmas stores along the lines of Spirit Halloween selling solely Halloween merchandise.
Very much a thing in the Bible Belt , not common elsewhere. Maybe a few dots here and there. It’s hard to keep a holiday store open outside of the specific season it’s for. Even year around Halloween stores struggle.
As someone who is not a big Christmas fan at all, this is actually pretty cool! Especially the creepy stuff, those are really neat. I have no doubt it'll be a big hit, especially considering you can get the best of both worlds there.
I hope they do this with my local Christmas Tree Shop location! I miss that store so much, so I'm crossing my fingers Spirit Christmas takes off and occupies that location every year 🤞
I love this! For years now Christmas has overtaken Thanksgiving and even Halloween, but this is the first attempt (beyond Nightmare Before Christmas) that I’ve seen Halloween attempt to take over Christmas.
While I hate that Thanksgiving is overlooked, it does make sense. Far more people celebrate Christmas than Thanksgiving. And in the U.S., many people are starting to see it as a "racist" holiday, because of how badly the Natives were treated, so a lot of people are being to not celebrate Thanksgiving. I think it's stupid, because it hasn't remotely been about that first Thanksgiving for a while now, but is now a day to show thanks for what we currently have. It's like how atheists act like they can't celebrate Christmas because they ignorantly think it's soley a Christian holiday, despite nearly everything about it having originated from pagan celebrations. Only its name alone is derived from Christianity. Jesus was a real person, but he wasn't born on Christmas. You can absolutely celebrate Christmas even if you're not religious. You don't have to believe that it's Jesus' birthday in order to partake in the holiday, and only stupid people think that's the case. Anyway, my point is, people all over the world celebrate Christmas than Thanksgiving, so it makes sense for it to go from Halloween decorations to Christmas ones. The only reason I dislike Thanksgiving being skipped over is because I don't like Christmas. It's too hard of a day for me and I don't want to be constantly reminded of it long before December has even started.
Art the clown is there because Terrifier 3 just came out and it takes place during Christmas. I LOVE the creepy Christmas stuff because as a gothic gal I don't have many options for Christmas decor. I've just done a Victorian spin on it over the years .... but it would be nice if more gothmas and creepmas things came out because a lot of us Goths also like Christmas time! I mean Halloween is number one .... but I love to bake, and make gifts for people, and decorate. I just would LOVE if a witchy holiday line came out! Or a Cottage Core Christmas line.
@@sfotnews8633 There's a haunted house near me that does Krampus every year. I was supposed to go last year but we had a snowstorm .... I hope to go this year!
Completely agree. It’s so convenient having a physical retail space like this. It’ll probably never happen but can you imagine if they had two versions of the store? or spilt it, so one leaned more into the horror/goth aesthetic.
You do realize things don't have to be goth themed in order for goths to like them, yes? I'm a goth gal at heart but I dress as a Christmas elf every year for Christmas. I would also never have a black Christmas tree. Christmas time is the only time I like the colors red and green and that's the color theme I like seeing at that time of year. I do black year round. Nothing wrong having things be different for Christmas.
@@englishatheart You do realize things can be goth themed, or creepy themed for Goths to also like them, yes? I'm not sure why you felt the need to be patronizing over an upbeat and excited comment. I never once said there was anything wrong with Christmas colors, nor that traditional goths don't like traditional colors. If that's your style for the holidays then that's fine. I personally would love more witchy themed items because I don't like green and red for my taste. I like a more Yule, magical, dark woodland theme. Goth is a versatile style. Most of my Christmas decor items were carefully picked to fit my holiday themes. I would like a darker line to come out for us with different taste.
I was thinking that too but now I'm thinking they did it so they can start spreading into every holiday and keep the same name system going for all of them.
I’m from Hayward in the San Francisco Bay Area and when they first opened their stores in the 80’s, one year they had one Spirit location there opened all year where they removed the majority of their Halloween decorations after Halloween and stocked decorations and supplies for all the holidays. It’s kind of cool to see they want to do Christmas now. It would allow them to keep their locations they are renting several months longer.
Ok I'm not going crazy...I remember that Hayward Spirit being open year round, was like a gag/costume/party type store outside of Halloween. As a kid, I used to go in there all the time to look at the gross-out toys and add to my collection of rubber bugs and snakes. They were right up the street from me too!
I absolutely love this idea and don't know why no one thought of this sooner. I can't see this not being a hit but hopefully it is and they are all over. I really want to go to one! I love Christmas

I agree it's really hard to see anything. Especially if you're trying to read what something says by pausing it. But it's still a nice walkthrough. Although I wouldn't say no to an adult humour video deliberately showing all the naughty sweaters & tshirts.
I love this! Makes it easier to have a one Christmas spot shop, and they can reuse the existing Spirit Halloween locations they already got that year to transition into the Christmas Spirit (seriously a missed opportunity to call it that) store. Also loved the concept to Creepmas for those who don’t want Halloween to end. I’m surprised they brought back the loungefly bags for Spirit Christmas. They didn’t sold any this year at Spirit Halloween for some reason. It was a good coupon deal for them.
This is a pretty genius idea for Spirit Halloween, if they can tack on another few months to their short space leases they already have for Spirit Halloween during Augusts through early November. I can honestly see this as a yearly stop for us to pick up party items or gifts for friends. It’s also clever that they’re offering lawn animatronics for Christmas.
I'm so glad to see Spirit branching out into other Holidays. That will help their company a lot. It will bring in new customers and more money. Looks like they have some really amazing stuff. I hope this takes off i would love one in the south where i live.
