I thought I would check the math.... Interesting .... Average number of TD scored in the NFL last season per team = 2.56. Average number of goals scored by Man City last year - 2.70 per match. I am of course discounting FGs because they are about as exciting as a corner kick in soccer. And remember a soccer match takes about 90 minutes of time to watch. NFL games take 3+ hours so more scoring goals per time in soccer than TDs. I never would have thought that.
The average number of points scored in a professional soccer game all leagues mls, premier, german, French between both teams is just under 3. If goals were 6 points plus an extra point or two it would be higher scoring. It's harder to use your feet than hands. We use are hands be for so many things. Essentially the only fine motor skill we do with our feet are drive manual transmissions
Ever since I can remember, soccer fans have touted it's the next big sport! Not happening. Soccer is boring. Period. Never will be big in the US as long as our best athletes play football, basketball and baseball, that is where the money is. Just a fact.
Soccer boring? Then why is it by far the most popular sport in the world? How can you call soccer boring when a sport like baseball exists or American football where the game stops every 20 seconds

Cannot watch soccer. The scoring never varies. If there were 2-1 games as well as 9-7 once in awhile, I’d watch. It’s always 1-0!!!!
