What sets The Impossible apart from other disaster movies is the acting - incredible performances all around, but particularly from Watts and Holland.

Tom responded so intelligently to all the questions. He shows a level of maturity that so many of his age kids just totally lack when I hear them speak.

Incredible to see him grow into this amazing actor. I remember watching this with my husband and saying “what a great young actor” now, we just finished watching “uncharted”. Just wow
One hell of a great movie, incredible actors and acting. It touched me deep simply because I lived 2 years in Thailand, I had planned to go for a vacation where the Tsunami struck but been called to work in Peru instead, I visited Khao Lak after the disaster, talked to real people who lived hell on Dec 26, 2004. I could feel the pain of every acting scene of the movie. I don't know why I am still alive while 284 000 died that morning... it was not my day. Anyways this is a fantastic and touching movie that receives a BIG 10/10 from me. Cheers and appreciate life as much as you can.

this is one of those movies that i watched more than 10 times and still get goosebumps and boohoo crying everytime i watched it..all the casts were crazy amazingg..i watched this movie at least twice a year..its so great

Great movie. My brother-in-law had a bar in Phuket, but luckily it was up the road on the mountain overlooking the beach. It was used for the survivors and safe haven. It was terrifying that we did not know if he was alive or dead until he called.

I have this thing where if a movie does no§§ t grip me in the first 20 minute or have amazing actors I have to try very hard to watch the rest. and I was crying within the first 10 minutes.
