but,
it also teach you many things. no matter how quick or slow, you'll reach that goal eventually if you stay determined and practicing a lot ;w; (it took me about 20+ hours in total, btw. lol)

I did it bois, 2 months after posting this comment, I beat the Path of Pain! It took a whole week of trying, and another week after that, I beat the Pantheon of the knight!!

I honestly enjoyed the Path of Pain, I wish I could do it again. Took me about 40 - 50 minutes to beat.

I only died 3 times and the second one was when I got the those friggin’ kingsmolds
Never died once, just took me way too long to figure out that last room before those guys. Descending Dark was useful

I only attacked them with melee ‘cause I always forget spells are even a thing.
I hardly ever use spells on bosses, but when you’re at the last room of the Path of Pain. I wasn’t as against it as I usually was. Still wish there was a natural way to replay it though.
@@arbitrarylunatic7381 It's been a long time so maybe you don't care anymore but there's a mod called "QoL" (quality of life) that lets you break the wall again. You have another mod "pain of the path" that lets you do the PoP in reverse. Good shit !
Ive only gotten to the second section of PoP and even then it was hell,no way i was gonna be able to finish it like you and other people have!
I loved the Path of Pain. Saws, spikes, thorns, constant death, precise jumps and timing, and ~2 hours of my life with roughly 1 hour of that time being the final hallway. I mean what isn't there to love.
But in all seriousness I was genuinely having fun until the final hallway. Was trying for about an hour and finally got through it with the help of some tape and a Lego piece.
I'm glad I'm not crazy enough to attempt this

I beat Celeste so it wasn't a great challenge. I mean it is hard sure but not as hard as getting the no-dash golden strawberry on the first chapter though.
All this talk about the path of pain has got me excited for when I get there in game lol

but to find out that there's not a single reward.

i got through all of the path of pain then i died to the 2 guards, i gave up after that.
A lot of people throw shade at how bad of a reward the Path of Pain is. I have a lil headcanon. You know how the sign in the entrance to pilgrim's way says; "There all wishes shall be granted, all truths revealed." and in the entrance to PoP; "To witness secrets sealed [...]". I know these connections are loose at best but I like to think the knight had a wish: to see if their sibling (Hollow Knight) was looked after by PK. So we saw that cutscene!

First attempt I couldn't get past the first part
Second attempt I couldn't get past the last part
Third attempt I was killed by the kingsmoulds.
In sheer wrath at the previous situation I only took two hits up to the final area on the fourth try

I used hiveblood, grubsong, deep focus, and unbreakable heart, so once I reached a spot I could rest and heal, I used it to my advantage
Path of pain=all rooms smashed together
Team cherry wanted another room but didn't know what to make it or name it so they were like that's just combined all the rooms and make a place called video game hell
