What’s bothers me so much is how SKZ was so excited to be there and for these paparazzi to treat them like that for absolutely no reason! I’m glad skz had fun, kudos to Bangchan for being an amazing leader and getting them out of there when he realized what was happening.

Also gonna mention like 5/8 members are comfy with english and understand enough (leeknow, changbin, jeongin not really) and they were trying to listen when the paparazzi were saying to move closer etc……also with two fluent english speakers there they would understand everything it probably made them, especially bangchan feel sick

When Bangchan called the kids over to quickly leave the paparazzi said in a mocking tone *”As you were, as you were”* then bursted out laughing.

unfortunately for the photographer, our fandom is an expert in investigation and has already discovered his Instagram and has already hacked the account and put the phrase "apologize to skz" there.
Chan (and ofc the rest of our boys) handled it so professionally and flawlessly I respect them so much
When I tell you I was HEATED. Those disgusting photographers need to be held responsible for their rude, racist remarks. Thinking they could get away with it because they didn't realize SKZ speak english. SKZ heard all their vile comments and stood there with class, Bang Chan got his kids out of there with grace. And the fact that this happened in the US, as an American it's so embarrassing and completely uncalled for.

VALID REACTION. I was so damn excited and happy when I was watching it live. Watching my babies make history. I was screaming like a proud mother. They look stunning. DO YALL NOT SEE HAN JISUNG???? HE ATE THAT SHT UP! THEY ALL LOOK BEAUTIFUL! Then hours later, cause I got off the live after Skz, I see the photos getting uploaded and the videos and im just over here fangirling over how find they look and that I knew they were going on tour soon with 40 cites and then I see THE videos. And when I tell you my smile faded so damn fast. That was the last thing I was expecting to see. I already knew skz were gonna get hate from hatters and anti fans from making history and just being there in general but I was not expecting to hear the nobodys, whos only job is to click a button, start being racist and rude asf! I got really really upset when I saw those clips😢
I had 3 different streams going at once. I was so excited & had the one with the paps on the big tv & heard everything live & I was fn fuming. I wrote something straight away online. Finally, I slept & woke up 2 see everyone ripping into them. I don't agree with leaking addresses, bu I'm glad Stays & others have banded together against this. I've seen armies helping out as they dealt with it in the past too. But I also wanted to mention another stream I found on YT that was from the street point of view. They also were calling them Japanese as they also did no research, obviously. But they also wanted Jennie to get out of the way. Why, you ask, because they wanted to get pictures of Rita Ora. Why did they want pictures of Rita, because they were trying to get pictures of her nether regions, yes, they said that too. Fn Sickos
I’m super upset that they experienced all of that but I hope the people around them made them feel comfortable and they were still able to have a good time. Props to Channie for handling the situation professionally and pulling his boys out of there.
Yeah the man with them in the red really likes them. And there was a very fun and respectful interviewer who made them feel comfortable. That's all I really know so far.
@@lunerlilly That man in red is Tommy HIllfiger who has been a famous fashion designer for many decades, the racist photgraphers are nobody. I would like to know who they are so I can tell them what I think of them. Not a good way to become known. Clearly the biggest disappointment did not know anything about Stray kids and how many of us Americans love them. He completely exposed himself. I just found out about this and I am proud of Stays for letting him know how much he screwed up, especially the hacker..I applaud them.

They must have had a lot of fun in there. Changbin was even picked up by Chris Hemsworth and he was very excited. Chan was also very grateful to the Australians for taking care of them.
We were angry but grateful to everyone else for the wonderful experience they had as well.

Yeah, they did the same with Johnny from NCT at the Met Gala in the past, being rude and giggling 'it's fine, he can't understand us'. Was hoping for Johnny to look at them and go, 'You don't know I'm from Chicago, bish?' at them. Smh at the Met Gala paps being so ignorant and racist year after year. Just assuming they don't know English, ffs.
I tear up every time I watch the treatment that Stray Kids received. This behaviour from the paparazzi is shocking . I am from Australia and I was lucky enough to be on holiday in Paris to see Stray Kids perform at Lollapalooza and what a difference the treatment SKZ received by the media.
Unfortunately this is the vision we as viewers are left with. I am sure Stray Kids were treated with the utmost respect once inside the venue and had a fantastic night.
Unfortunately for us Stays that were really looking forward to this event, have been left shocked and saddened . 💔

Jennie's outfit does match the theme its based off the short story the sands of time land, sky, and sea are involved, the blue and pearls on her waist and earrings represent the sea, and to me personally the train looks like a stream of water

skz button up shirts also had flowers on them, and the inside of the coats like you pointed out representing the land side of the theme they weren't as extravagant as others but it was on theme

By the way, they found reporters who shouted it out, and showed them a "happy" life. Fans attacked them that they had to make all their pages private, and some deleted them altogether. They also appealed to the superiors and asked them to release these idiots. So, the fans did their job and showed all their power

There is so much racism against Asian Americans post- pandemic in USA that is not often talked about. So I appreciate these channels that actually bring these issues to light. I’ve moved to USA as a small child and I am honestly getting sick and tired of dealing with racism while living here. And black people had to deal with this for centuries. It’s too hard.
Honestly the respect for skz got higher after the met gala cause of if I was them I would be yelling back at the photographers but instead they kept it professional and respect to Chan for hearing all this and keeping his calm and Im not sure if u saw this but Chan had clapped his hand signaling it’s time for them to leave cause I know he was pissed off and it’s very funny how stays found they photographers work place where they live and their social media account even going so far that the photographer had to make their account private and now they know never to mess with skz or even any K-pop group because the fandom will get them and I hope that next year if skz go to them met gala again after this experience they get better treatment. Also very proud of them for making it this far and saying this as some one who got into K-pop like 2 years ago and I am very excited for their upcoming tour even though I’m not going to cause I’m a broke international fan but I’ll still be there to support them.
When Bang Chan was like Nah, double clapped his hands, and went up the stairs, he didn't even look back. The members followed him, zero hesitation. One of the most controlled things, for real. Even if that dude didn't know that they lift, box, etc., how does he not know that professional dancers could literally round-house kick him in the face. Don't apologize for your reaction. Today it was in the news in Korea, this situation, saying that those photographers were racist and disrespectful to the SKZ. We will see what measures are taken.
hi just so you all know from reports Sean Zanni was involved, along with Dimitri Kambouris, however, Joe Pugliese and John Shearer (two others claimed to be racist against skz) cleared the rumors the two involved went private on ins and took down their websites, John shearer made a story and so did joe pugliese saying he doesn't even do events (I'm sure some of yall saw it already)
sean zanni has a singing account on SoundCloud too so he's making fun of skz and kpop fans but he couldn't even make it as a singer, he doesn't want to be there probably and that's why he's being unprofessional
Only Sean Zanni should be held accountable. He’s the only one who was actually seen with his face talking sh*t. There’s no evidence of the other 3 alleged photographers being rude to SKZ. People only pointed fingers at them because they stood near Sean and worked under the same company (Getty). We shouldn’t jump to conclusions when there is no proof. Sean was obviously not the only one being rude, but we don’t have any other videos to find out who else was doing it. So let this be a warning for all the other rude photographers to watch their mouths.

Vex - your reaction is exactly what I was feeling real time watching some of the live coverage..at the time no one had made the subtitle videos but I was picking up on the side chatter as some of the live feeds were running for different outlets and media. I was like “aw hell naw did I just hear what I thought I heard?!” And as I watched others come you didn’t really the same type of commentary 🤔
Anyway, that was just the sour moment that I was thinking too - most if not all of them can understand some of that commentary being yelled at them - esp Chan being extremely aware and engaged to help guide the boys thru. Regardless I think they still had a good time from what I could see

I hope that they get black listed and not invited to photograph at any future important events, which would essentially make them unemployable as photographers. The metgala theme The Garden is not just about flowers but also represents a nature, sea, sky and land . And Jennie obviously chose a sea, Ocean and looks like a beautiful mermaid Siren 💙

I'm so proud of SKZ! Also, rollingstone uk posted an article about tommy styling skz and how it relates to the theme. So if anyone says they're not on theme, refer them to that article. The theme can be interpreted as rebirth hence the reveal by removing the detailed flower embroidery lining the coat. You could see gold flower embellishments on their tops too.
STAYS Hacked the paparazzi's Instagram accounts , things went wild....I hope they learned a lesson, do not mess with K-pop fandoms. Messing with us Stays and SKZ is like waking up a pack of hungry wolves. Just DON'T.

Thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking at the time. Every single one of them looked like a prince. I hope those people are taken off the list of photographers for any big event like this. They don't deserve to be there. And I know skz will somehow overlook this because that's the kind people that they are. I've been a stay for only a year but have come to love their spirit and their music. I was so angry for them, I went and watched some or their videos just to calm down. It worked too. 😊 Watching them is pure joy!

It was an example of ignorance and prejudice. The individuals spoke as if the KZS couldn't understand them and they definitely did, you could see it in their eyes. Every Stay is pissed off and I hope that the persons involved (the uncouth, rude and foolish) will be banned from future events held by the MET. BangChan and the members handled this with grace, not giving into them but maintaining elegance and being the wonderful people that they each are, left the fools .... behind.
Despite what happened they sre getting so much exposure from even non Kpop fans. And they handled it so well. Chan got them out of there. Theres a reason hes the best leader. It was the first time a K-Pop group attended the Met Gala. It was such a big deal and so exciting for so many people! But photographers who could not do their job properly treated them with great disrespect. This is a disgrace. They were very excited to be asked to attend the Met Gala as the first KPOP group to attend with all members. The 2-3 racially vocal photographers that disrespected them should be fired. Guess they didn't know that all the members of this Korean music group speak English! I applaud Chan's decision to end their turn and exit into the Gala. Very classy move on his part as their leader, as he didn't stoop to the photographers level. Like you, I was also upset by the disrespect. But Chan posted on Bubble that they were treated well and enjoyed the event with their Designer /Host and family. (ie: by someone who mattered.) Thanks for your review!

Nah right the way they treated them really pissed me off too, the amount of time and work they put into the outfits, makeup, and hair, just to go out there and be disrespected and have racist comments thrown at them while they can do nothing but stand there is just so sad.
