Do not feel the adventure is there any longer. Thanks for the past, you were great. May check back in 6 months and see if you get it back. Good Luck.
Absolutely blown away by how beautiful the Sonoran desert is. We visited last year for the first time. I'd go back again for sure 😊
Nightscapes were amazing!
"I've heard Venture 4wd being referred to as the 'Bob Ross of overlanding', and while I appreciate that, I assure you I am wrought with inner turmoil."
LMFAO!!!
Nice of the Roadrunner to drop in to say hello.
This was a particularly enjoyable episode....finding an oasis in the desert to hang at all day (week) is truly liberating! I miss the desert air! Thanks for the vlog Chris
Thanks for taking us along Chris.... Some fascinating scenery in that area👍🏻
I’ve never seen more beautiful sunsets than I have in the Sonoran Desert. And the dark skies are just as exceptional. Thanks for sharing your night lapse and night sky photos. Your Lumix S5ii captured them beautifully. 🤩
Game changer!!! LOL!!! Someone is going to be triggered!!! Nicely done, another great video and I have the same ‘game changing’ upgrade and love it - makes having a van in Texas bearable, truly…..game changing. Also like the bungee cord door holder. I recently picked up the CaVans door stoppers, but the bungee looks like a more convenient, and in reality likely more robust, solution.
Super cool Rig
Beautiful landscapes and starscapes! I think it’s awesome you went in the desert during summer!
To some, the desert is boring. To stay awhile, we find there is much more than meets the eye. I love the blue skies of the desert
The road runner , saguaros , and the brilliant star scape are silent. Only noticed by those who linger. 💕
Wow. The night time star gazing looks supreme. Neat to see the roadrunner too. 👍🌞🤙
Agreed on the Bob Ross comparison
Nice!👍🇧🇷
Thank you for the video Chris. I’d love to see you. Come back up to the Pacific Northwest sometime. It was great meeting you a few years ago with Overland rally Northwest keep up the good work.😎👍
Enjoyed the starscape photography...:)
When you slow down and spend time in an area, you are bound to find many ancient ruins, petroglyphs, abandoned home steads, etc. You were in proximity to some cliff dwellings, you just have to keep an eye out for them. Thanks for sharing.
That Taco Bell treat on the way home... Yes!!!
Hi Cris, takes a while for your body to get acclimated to 100 + degree temps in the desert. I live in Palm Springs ca. coming from NYC, but it has lots of bennifits too! Lots of places to explore 🙂
Love the videos, although I am biased being an Arizonan.
The curse of "where does that road go?" in the desert is so real. I, too, am wracked with inner turmoil. That must be where it comes from. 😂 I toootally get wanting to spend money on tires over a NAS, but if practicality wins: I really love the Synology NAS and recommend it for video storage.
Thanks Bob Ross. ;-)

Chris, just a friendly tip, don't wear black shirts or black hats in the summer. They absorb the heat and will greatly add to your discomfort.
How are you liking those general grabbers? I have some on my Xterra and they seem pretty good.
you should do a video on security, while in and out of the van. Have you ever returned to the vehicle and seen signs someone had been there? unwanted visitors at night, stuff like that. Many states have strict firearm rules, what are alternatives.
It's Arizona... I'll leave it at that. If you REALLY want to be worried in AZ, early Summer is more about thirsty bears, and overheating nope ropes with baby rattles. We've had a large amount of bear sightings and encounters this year.
Great video quality! What kind of camera do you use?
Thank you! I use a LUMIX S5 Mark II for the scenic/stationary shots. GoPro Hero 8 for the run & gun.
Chris. Have you thought about a trip up through Canada to Tuktoyaktuk?
it's Artisan because the package says it is... :-}
Great video thank you!
Beep Beep !!
I’d pickup a ASUSTOR FLASHSTOR 6 (FS6706T) for $449 or the larger one for your network storage. Keep it in the sprinter van starting with minimal large size m.2 ‘s that you can hold purchasing more as you can afford. Eventually, you’d have 48TB and could probably throw it in the backpack in order to use it in the jeep.
Asustor Flashstor 12 Pro FS6712X with 4tb m.2 drives would give you 48TB weighing about 5 lbs.
I carry a Black and Decker 20 Volt hedge trimmer and trim the vegetation back.
I started watching because I loved seeing Chris travel around the country. Now every video is Arizona, Arizona, Arizona. I get people and situations change but this channel has lost all appeal to me.
Have a question Chris. When I started watching your channel along the way I watched your video on Gaia gps and subscribed at their premium level. The biggest issue is their customer service which now appears to be non existent. Customer reviews are horrible. I have tried to update my payment method several times with no success. Are there other apps that you are familiar with that offer essentially the same thing as Gaia ? I liked the app but have found over the past couple years resolving issues is extremely frustrating.
How's Starlink working out?
How cool to hear the roadrunner call!!!
I don't know Chris, personally i like the old ways you used to make video's with Orangie. I'm not much into the $150,000 Winnebago. I get it, you have a home now, and maybe a wife soon, and change is an ever changing thing. But camping near an interstate.... I just hope you get back to traveling with the Jeep, and getting back to the meat of things..
Chris has lost the will to really explore. There are other channels that have taken my interest to farther levels.
@@Winter-zv1dv Get real ! Chris has lost all ambition to get away from his house now. Hes burnt out . But he keeps making a two day video to roll in money from blind Patreons
@@Winter-zv1dv OK, what ever you say!. I watch because I keep thinking he will go back to the old ways. That's all. But hey..You're kind of a know it all, aren't ya?
Honestly I could less about the desert
I'm not a fan of it at all
Bit I love your vids & the van keep them coming
Don't leave your van unlocked out there dangerous
Nothing like authentic Mexican food to end a great day…😂🌮
OK!
I’ve been reluctant to wear my full-bill hat instead of my ball cap, but if you’ve got the stones to do it then so can I. Thanks. Lynn and Owen say “Howdy” BTW.
We spent the last couple days with them and Venture4WD was appreciated by all.
Still waiting for some of my favorite places in the Sierras to thaw out this year. Mid June and closed due to snow.
Hmmmm
I'm heading for Taco Bell!
That was no adventure.
Love the hat , where can I get one ?
Divorced dad energy.
If I was Chris I would have Shannon riding with me offroad... who would know she's sitting in the passenger seat if I didn't show them?
Boring repetitive desert for a change. Venture Nowhere.
Totally agree ! Chris has lost his ambition to explore. He is only going through the weekly motions .
I love the Sonoran desert, winter or even summer. In the 1950s-60s, after my family moved West from Tennessee, we kids would get up at dawn and ride our bikes into the desert, returning home by noon during the hot months. Now that I'm in my 70s and living again in Arizona, I can't take the summer heat any more, but I still enjoy offroading the splendid Sonoran desert in the winter.
@@nickedshears Its not free content. You either watch commercials imbeded in the video or you pay the You Tube subscription fee.
Way, way, way too much face time. Do something, show us stuff.
More commercials 😂
Eh
Thanks for the memories. It was a good run.
