November 1st Friday Night Meet Up Spot 234 Ben Hulse Hwy Brawley, CA 92227 November 2nd Saturday 2 PM Meet up spot 755 Palm Canyon Dr Borrego Springs, CA 92004 Shoutout to instagram.com/roaming_with_raymond/
Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your van! Tons of offroad opportunities where we are going that are the right difficulty for our vans and Anza is nice!
I wish you can make the meet man. Larry from Action Van Suspension will be there. I seen you have concerns about the Action Van Pitman arm due to Weldtecs comparison video. That video Weldtec did was biased . They have good product but that was a bush league video. They showed a AV lift that was clapped out/beat up. AV sends you 2 Pitman arm drops when you do it yourself so you can select the right one. My Fork Lift Video I just put out I wanted to give facts no bias. My Weldtec lift has had several issues but I don't make videos about it because sometimes mistakes are made. For example my shock bolt broke after 1 off roading trip and my shock came off the radius/control arm. I didn't call Weldtec a crap company after that even though I paid them $2000 to install the kit. I figure things happen even though this happened to me most people with Weldtecs have had a flawless experience. There will be at least 6 Action Van Lifted Vans at this meet to look at. I will film all the Pitman arms just for you man and have Larry Address this. I welcome all vans and all upgrades to my lifts. It's fun to see peoples builds and we all have different ideas. I hope my buddy with a Ford Parts one Spacer lift and my other buddy with a Camburg lift shows up so that all Econoline lifts will be at the meet. I will do videos on everyones vans and we will all be going off roading to see these lifts in action!
@@JohnDrivesAnything my concern wasn't the pitman arm but the leverage it places on the shaft in the steering box. I saw a video about it but now cant find anything. Either isnt a problem or maybe he was rock crawling. Both kits have + & - but the AV kit price has me. Not sure if FP1/RTZ 2in will be enough. Although not looking to do anything crazy, just more/better offroad access. The cool factor is a big plus!
Sebastian had a RTZ. Here's a video of Weldtec ,Action Van and RTZ at Hungry Valley ua-cam.com/video/EvJMlqXBXWs/v-deo.html When I do the meet I will ask LArry about the Pitman Arm
Looks like it could be a great event ! When those shops do a lifted kit , what do they do with the stock front suspension parts ? My 2013 E350 was wrecked in the driver side front . The passenger side suspension looks great , no rust . But the driver side that was wrecked, they used parts off of a northern salted roads rust belt vehicle .
This is going to be the most visually bada$$ looking meet ever with all these lifted vans! Both 5 inch lift kit companies replace Shocks,Springs,Pitman Arm and Radius Arms/Control Arms
I been talking about lifted vans on this channel for 12 years. My goal is to grow these meets further out! Love hearing from everyone. That's the cool thing about the internet. There's even a Van movement in Japan with American Vans!
@@kaisontatium5610 My first lifted Van meet was 2 people, Second one was 3. Third one was 5. 4th one was 7. 5th was only Advertised in 2 videos and got 6. This upcoming November meet 15 minimum! 2024 so many people have been telling me I want a lifted van and made that move to get a lift kit. Love to see this hobby/lifestyle grow! This is how long I been doing this. Check out that upload date lol ua-cam.com/video/n0mH2JTHEKk/v-deo.html
@@JohnDrivesAnything lol yeah you’ve been doing this for a while. I just watched that video the other day I seen the date was like wow👀 Yeah, you’re the reason why I bought my 2003 Ford Econoline E250 I’ve been tinkering with it and upgrading some things. I have everything planned out for the inside, but I’m saving up to get my lift tires. I would really like to get a lifted Van club started out here in the Midwest area or or find like-minded people
I’m trying to cut through the red tape to make this happen; I’ve also been watching three different vans on local marketplace that are four-wheel-drive and lifted, I might even be able to get one of those bought and drive it down as a maiden voyage. This is all dependent on cutting through bureaucratic red tape regarding health and medical benefits in Oregon.
Hi John I have been in the Mountains of New Mexico and Arizona since April and have been mostly off the grid so haven’t had much Cell Service but have been watching your Videos when I can, I came across a problem with my Van which has me thinking of saving up for a different Vehicle, since it was a Police Van I bought it seems that they cut down the rear Wheel Wells to make more room inside, since I been driving off road I found out that my wheels will now sometimes hit where it was modified so I cant install taller Tires than stock, I have been saving up a lot of Money I am thinking of just saving up for a already converted 4 Wheel Drive Van or Ambulance, anyway not sure I will be able to meet up with you guys this time but I am heading your way, Nevada is my next destination.
Were you the guy that found one with 30,000 miles on it? So the Wheel wheels were cut and flattened and limited suspension travel in the back? If your van is really nice I would have a welder put stock wells back in. The market is going down big time though and if you can get a 4x4 for a good deal its always the way to go. Most of us start with a stock van and build up from there and end up going 2wd lifted. If I found a nice 4x4 with low 100,000 miles for $15000-$20,000 I would of went that route. I got my van for $6800 with 104,000 miles so couldn't pass it up. I hope you make it to the meet. This will be like a Sema lifted/4x4 van show!
Hi John I got my Van with only 13,000 Miles on it and now just over 30,000 Miles, I am a Welder but my Vans interior is finished and would be a major undertaking to weld in new wheel wells, right now the Wheels are barely touching and only on the worst Roads, I was thinking that I could use allot more room and since my Van is not an extended one a longer Van like yours would be nice in 4 Wheel Drive
@@themadnomad5361 I remember you got something with really low miles. It's a shame about the interior modifications limiting your wheel travel. I like my lifted 2wd I dont regret not getting a 4x4 since my van does what I need it to do but if you can get a 4x4 in your budget it's the way to go.
I'll be there around 6 pm and half of the group will be there Friday. In the morning we will head out to Slab City then head out to Anza to meet up with the Saturday crew. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your rig!
I love the idea of lifted vans. You aren't trying to be a hardcore rock crawler like Jeep Wrangler guys but you can get to nice remote camp spots with a cool rig to camp out of.
